Obertan on because i don't think Marv will be able to handle 90 mins after 120 mins of busting his bollocks off vs Forest.

Then i think Ben Arfa should come on for Best, for 20-30 mins, and because Best never plays 90 mins.

Also this formation is more defensive as i hope we will be holding a 2 or 3-0 lead.

I agree. Marv on for Obertan as a starter, then Obertan on a little later.

 

Marveaux is definitely something special! I'd definitely start him over Obertan. Let Obertan come in and run at the defence like he did against Arsenal. Liking the look of that team Tash. I'd probably leave Santon out for now too, to be honest.

I hate this simply because we've seen how crucial it is to give Cabaye a more offensive role and let Tiote do the sweeping

 

I disagree I think Obertan should continue to start because IMO hes starting to improve, regardless of what most said on here I thought he had a cracking game against Villa and was his best performance in a Newcastle shirt to date. Also bagged two assists tonight.

Would probably take Obertan off around the 60-70 minute mark and introduce Marveaux then, especially after his 120 minute's tonight.

As for the striking department both Ba and Best to start in the familiar 4-4-2 formation, with whichever of Ba or Best is having the worst game making way for Benny, on again around the 60-70 minute mark, dont want to push Barfa too much too soon.

 

THIS ! I can see that Obertan will be a very good player , hes been improving all the time and would be silly to knock his confidence.

 

Obertan is a good player, but i think Marveaux deserves to start now. Obertan can still make a sub appearance and make starting appearances in the future, but i think we should experiment a bit.

Marveaux should start, Obertan to come on as sub.

 

Although I think Obertan should keep his starting position it definitely wouldn't be the end of the world to see Marveaux get a start. Both have been impressive IMO.

We should just see if Marv can play better, i'm not saying this should be the line up for ever, just the Blackburn game

 

Jonas is undroppable when Raylor is at left back in my opinion, he literally covers Raylor's arse and does 90% of the defensive duties.
