http://www.sportsdirectnews.com/pre...lace-pulis-talks-stall-again.php#.Uo9OMb5FCUk According to the link its not cut and dried for him to be the next Palace boss yet, but how would you feel if Bruce went and we appointed him? I think most supporters would be depressed at the prospect and the same probably applies for half of Palace's squad.
I would snap up Allams offer for a refund. I find it gruelling watching teams like his whenever we have to play them, football is to enjoy and I really don't enjoy his brand.
Pulis is a very good manager, what he did at Stoke is commendable. His style is shocking, but fans like winning, and he did that.
100% echoed. He did an incredible job at Stoke, much like Brown did with us, the difference is Pulis did it for longer than 2 years. I honestly think Fat Ugly Sam's teams are far worse to watch than any Pulis side. Put Pulis in chanrge of West Ham and they'd be doing a darn sight better than they are now.
I'd say his sides didn't lose, rather than they won, and he spent far in excess of almost (some say all) other clubs.
Either way, I'd rather be in the prem playing **** football than in the championship playing Barca football with no substance.
Agreed.....as I often do with Mr Tickler ... Though I was pleased when NB was sacked and SB came in. All the best tickler
Maybe the £50m a year or whatever it is ensuring the club's future for the next generations? Until someone changes the name that is....
Money, exposure, quality of our team, quality of the opposition, we're on Motd, Sky coverage. It'd be ridiculous to prefer style over success, wouldn't it?
Then that's ridiculous. I'm a fan that attends games and winning feels a lot better than drawing or losing.
It's better than receiving 1/10th of that through income. Every single owner in the country would agree I'm sure. The Prem does have a hell of a lot of negatives and I hate a lot of it but from a purely self preservation option then if you manage off-field correctly it has to be better. Im sure a team can survive paying 20k a week max on wages and returning a profit. Unfortunately nobody tries it, not even us.
That's not the same question. As a fan attending games, the Championship is a far superior experience in my opinion. Local businesses and this region in general, as well as TV supporters will get more from the Prem.
