I've watched the Japan earthquake/ tsunami situation in the last week and from being non-plussed about them as a nation, I've now got a huge respect for the way the people have conducted themselves in unbelievable circumstances. But can you imagine what it would be like if it happened here? You wouldn't have seen the unlooted shops. The patient queues for food. The calm reaction to the nuclear situation. The balanced interviews of the public on TV. It would have been ****ing bedlam. And it wouldn't be helped by the government banging around like Charlie Corolli's Circus.
another thing. why were the nuclear plants built on the east coast? they've had tsunamis in the past ffs. they get earthquakes all the time.
