That asks about the best place to park...

    Evening Jacks

Heading up (I say up as I live in plymouth) for our game at your place on 4th December and looking for some advice for the best place to park.

Obviously it's an evening game and I'll be on my own (not literally as I'm sure there will be a few thousand Geordies in the away end with me) so don't really want to be roaming the streets alone in my toon shirt for too long. Is there anywhere close to the ground to park that's relatively cheap???

Sorry to post a thread that will be irrelevant and and a very boring read for most of you but any help or advice would be greatly appreciated <ok>

    Thanks in advance!

Their is a car park very close to the ground, just across the road. Not sure what the cost is as I always park further away, think it's about a fiver. Ground literaly 400 yards and a Harvester pub where all are welcome. Perhaps some of the lads Dilli & Dreyfus might meet up with you for a pint. Their happy to chew the fat on all things football, they meet up with some Chelsea lads last season.

The most practical place would be Beaufort Road, Plasmarl, Swansea, West Glamorgan SA6 8HR. Come in straight off Junction 45 of the M4. If you are arriving early then you will have no problem to park. When you park, face the car so you leave in the same direction - you will be back on the motorway in 10 minutes.

The only problem is that it is an industrial area - you follow the river path for five minutes (past the Swans training ground) and you will be right by the away end. A bit spooky but there will be plenty of people going to the match. I wouldn't advise wearing team colours because you may have some bother - most people are friendly but you only need one idiot to spoil your day <ok> If you want more info leave me know.

NB Parking will be on the road so it is free of charge - but arrive early!

Use the park & ride,it's signposted off the M4
There are return buses right outside the away end and it's pretty well organised
    The harvester is chaos though

    Cheers guys, much appreciated <ok>

It's either my toon shirt or go topless and I don't fancy the latter in early December <laugh>

Bit of sense here. You will be absolutely fine wearing your colours for starters we're a very welcoming bunch.
What Paulpower said is your best bet for parking, it's just off junction 46.
Also don't listen to that Neveroffside I'm not a bloody pisshead. Dilli might be but I'm not and I didn't meet any Chelsea fans it was Dilli and FFS. The Chelsea fans haven't been the same ever since

What about J42 Fabian Way? Would that be easier for travelling fans, I am guessing they put buses on to the stadium. Miss all the traffic then, leave the bus driver put up with it.

I was thinking that if he parked down by Days and walked through he is by the away end. Plus it is easier to get on the M4 after the game.

    Thats true.

I was just thinking of easiness to actually find and get too, Fabian way is straight forward off the motorway. And should be less hassle getting back on the M4 instead of the joys that is Ynysforgan roundabout :p But then in the modern day of Sta Nav, Days would be just fine :p

Not travelling down this year, but the supporters coach drops off just beside the ground.

Hell of a journey by road though.
