... to think of any high points of this season. Last season we had RVP. We won at Chelsea, beat the Spuds 5-2 and defeated Manchester City in a famous win. This season has been completely the opposite. What game, or games can you honestly say you have enjoyed watching, apart from us thrashing a few relegation threatened sides. We have utterly failed to shine when it counts most, i.e. in the big games. This has to go down as one of the least watchable seasons in recent memory. The problem is is that I can't see it changing in the foreseeable future. Each season we are promised improvements and each season we get worse.
5-2 against the Spuds was pretty good. For all the cries of powershift, we took 3 points off of each other and we outscored them, in what has been one of our most disappointing seasons for years.
We had 10 men Piskie you knob! Jesus wept we were beating you with 11. Clinging on to small glories bloody hell!
Sums up how far we have fallen if we're considering a cup comeback away to the team 2nd bottom of the league in a competition we get a bye until half the prem lge sides are already out....
To be fair , it was lucky it didnt go the way of the Bradford and Blackburn fiascos. At least it WAS a comeback and not a capitulation to dross. Small mercies indeed.
Shut da **** up you dozy Spud, Adebayor got himself sent off and you got your arses handed to you - 5 goals in your onion bag = Spanking
Please explain to me how that statement is deluded. You beat us 2-1 we beat you 5-2. We got +3 GD from our win, you got +1 GD from your win. Last time I checked 3 is a bigger number than 1. Stop bitching just because you lost 5-2.
Regardless of how much we much beat them by, it's been only a very slight consolation in an otherwise disappointing season. Can't believe how disillusioned I am with this team right now.
It's just so pathetic how you and Piskie bang on about the 5-2 as an amazing victory when we all know why the result ended like that. Using your logic, we are 3-1 up 11 v 11. At least we tried to score when we were losing at the emirates. I'd rather lose 5-2 going for it than accept a 2-1 loss like your team did. I don't think Lloris even had a save to make after the goal Bale scored for you.
Anyway back to the OP Some good points for me have been Arsenal 5-2 Spurs Arsenal 7-3 Newcastle Reading 5-7 Arsenal Arsenal 6-1 Southampton Manchester City 1-1 Arsenal Liverpool 0-2 Arsenal And yes the season has been disappointing for sure, but for me I know that there will be bad spells and good spells and if I be called deluded (by a ****in Spud ) for maintaining hope in the team then so be it.
So are you suggesting the referee let Adebayor stay on? Face it he went to the game, he ****ed up, Spurs couldn't keep up and we hammered you. Honestly your the one making yourself look like the idiot.
I'm not deluded. All my football supporting life you Gooners have been far far better than us. I will readily admit that. Not anymore.
Really I'm looking like an idiot? Adebayor was pumped up to beat you and did a stupid tackle. Any team down to 10 men for 70 minutes is going to struggle. Look what happened when you played Chelsea. I guess that sending off made no difference? We saw the result when both teams had 11 players. As I said better to lose trying than to roll over and accept a 2-1 defeat.
