...... I thought I had been burgled. The cat flap was wide open and our cat's favourite cushion and feeding bowl had disappeared. The larder door was wide open and all the tins of cat food had gone. I looked for the cat and couldn't find her anywhere. So I went round to my neighbours' house and asked if they had seen the cat. They said that they had seen her at about 21.30 setting off up the road dragging along what looked like a cushion with a bowl and some tins on top. I asked them how they knew the time and they said because at the particular moment our dog had appeared at their door barking and whining and when they opened the door it rushed in, ran up stairs and hid under the bed and no amount of coaxing will bring her out. She is still there trembling and howling and refusing to budge. So I have no dog to kick and no cat either and to cap it all the very lovely will not let me back indoors because as she says I am a bad loser and miserable old sod and I need to calm down. What does she expect when a man has just seen his team robbed by dodgy refereeing? So should you see a rather forlorn looking cat dragging a cushion please give me a ring on my mobile. Even more importantly if you see a rather forlorn old fellow with a walking stick and whiskers looking as if he is homeless please note that he is and he would welcome being asked in for a cup of tea and would be most grateful if you had a spare bed he could sleep in just for tonight. If the very lovely lets me home tomorrow I will post my thoughts on the match as I would have calmed down by then.
Agree....however fingers crossed we can win the last 3, that Reading lose 1. Failing that lets hope that West Ham do their usual and draw all of their remaining games.
