Lots of England fans saying Pope is ****. Good stuff.

Now all we need is them to think that of Trippier and no more of our players will get called up to get injured for England's failed world cup attempt.

So basically Pope is unlikely to get another England call up.

Also loving the Southgate hate. World cup semi and Euro final and you're getting called to be sacked for losing in a bunch of meaningless friendlies.

I'm glad none of our squad will be heavily involved in this shower of ****e.

Pope made a big mistake - can't be doing that at international level - tough one as it bounces in-front of him but either needs it to stick or to push it out the way of the goal not drop it to the middle of the goal six yards out - much like Maguire deserves the criticism leveled at him atm so does Pope after an absolute howler.

I guarentee Pope isn't happy about his mistake or the reaction he's getting...

Southgate is getting what he deserves also - he's on a worse run of form than McClaren, Hodgson who equally got bad press - Truly god awful performances - selections are all over the place, poor tactics and again reactionary subs instead of proactively trying to change games. He got plenty of praise at the WC and euros and richly deserved - but he must take responsibility for the worst run of form in 40 years.

England are crap under Southgate and he should be sacked if you want any chance of some glory.

But does anyone think anything other than "meh" to these games? They're a bunch of bullshit friendlies that are really only for the manager to experiment and prepare for the WC.

What happens in the real competitions is what to judge him on.
