http://www.squawka.com/news/kevin-w...-at-tottenham-is-different-to-fc-koln/588883? I wonder if we're getting players with the correct mindset or whether Pochettino is instilling it? Such a shame Milos didn't subscribe to it (i guess i've just answered my own question)
One of the problems with prior DoFs is they were just signing players without considering if they'd fit in the team or not, both in terms of whether they could play in the roles that we needed them to play but also in terms of their mentality or temperament. This is something that has been addressed of late so we have a team, rather than what we had at various points in previous seasons where we had 2/3 or 3/4 of a team with a bunch of players filling out the rest of the starting xi.
To me it's Pochettino. It's hard to determine with the youngsters whether they are affected by him to any great extent. However, look at Jan Veronghen, Moussa Dembele and listen to Hugo Lloris. Mauricio Pochettino isn't your average football manager weasel. I see the best aspects of Fergie in him: cross him and you're history; plays and trusts the youngsters; builds for the present and plans for the future; understands that the history of the club is vitally important. When he stands and bellows at the 4th Official whilst tapping his watch, we'll know where he's off to next.
