As the heading say's I am impressed with the timing of new arrivals at this stage of pre-season. So the new team of Burt, SO'D and Pemberton seems to be more productive than their predecessors. Now waiting to see and judge the quality!
Now to get rid of kilkenny, fontaine, pearson.. get in a shaun derry type midfieler and SOD can have a G infront of his initials.
I think Rangers will be the real test for a lot of our players. They'll want competitive games, considering they've been playing semi-pros for the best part of a year now, and will largely continue to do so next year. The OS says that both new players could feature, and I hope that we'll see some of Baldock. I reckon he could end up staying, since he's not exactly done a lot to get Championship teams jumping for his signature.
Good to get signings done early - helps team gel. I think we are likely to play several formations next season - JET can play up front or in behind the strikers. Not too worried about pre-season results as main objective is to get fit and for the team to get used to how SoD wants to play (though a couple of wins will help confidence) I'm starting to think that a fit Marvin Elliott may be very important.
