With the names we are said to be after, just think years ago I could not sleep when we signed Ian Gibson.
Get used to it Dave - you are a supporter of a Premier League club now! It really is as good as it's cracked up to be and you guys are going to have an absolute ball! Cornelius looks to be a good buy and think Malky is doing the right thing sticking with the majority of the squad that got you there and looking to strengthen in key positions. For what it's worth I think you guys will do OK so good luck in all matches (except for two!!)
As always a good post, as you say you guys are going to have an absolute ball! What ever it turns out to be, after 51 years I'll take it. If we lose both games to you Swans but stay up, I'll be a happy bunny.
Yes same here DJ, I intend to enjoy every minute of it, just cant get my head around seeing us in the National papers with reference to transfer targets, and I have cleverly figured out, that most of it is absolute bollox.
I wouldn't mind an up to date version of Ian Gibson especially for the £35k we paid for him in 1970.
Feeling the pressure, but prepared to cope with it right now - good luck to him. http://www1.skysports.com/football/...Velikonja-willing-to-fight-for-Cardiff-future
Totally agree Sparkey, i dont think the lad has had a fair crack of the whip, and he will be a Cup player at best next season, same for Rudy and Joe by the looks of things, and in the case of Joe i really do feel sorry for him as i think he is a very talented footballer.
Best if Joe goes out on loan along with Velikonja as I have just spelt his name correctly for the first time.
No excuses Taff as you live a darn sight closer to his homeland than we do. Lol!!! Getting competitive regular football even at Div. 1/2 level can only do good for both their games and confidence.
Es tut mir leid Blue. Problem is my English spelling sucks now especially switching between English and German all the time!
It does not get better than this lads, and to top it off the cheese quiz is returning to this messageboard
Got it, Knew i had it, Yes an old programme with Mr Gibsons autograph on the back, silent bids only please.
Nice one. Forgetting his off field activities, what current player do we think (from any UK club) has similar skills and attributes to Ian Gibson, i.e. the ability, from midfield, to tackle (sometimes not late), hold the ball, round around the opposition while retaining the ball (dribbling) and score? Gazza was probably a good example (off the field as well), currently I would say someone like Jack Wilshere. Any others?
