**** me. What a bastard week off that was Working backwards. Yesterday. My youngest daughter had an allergic reaction to some moisturising cream she put on after getting too much sun on Saturday. Her face swelled up alarmingly and went bright red. She has sensitive skin, having auburn hair. Friday. I went to the vet's with the partner of the woman who's funeral I went to last Monday to have her dog put down. ****ing unpleasant. Thursday. My debit card got swallowed by a Santander cash machine. New card will take 7 - 10 days to arrive. Wednesday. Funeral of a guy I've known since I moved from Liverpool. Church service followed by a burial. Only 52. Only good thing was choice of music for the entry and exit of the coffin. In 'Should I stay or Should I Go' by The Clash. Out 'Going Underground' by The Jam. Quality humour Monday. Funeral of a young woman who I knew from the Cheese. Only 46. I can honestly say I'm glad to be back at work. Holiday from Hell. What's been happening on here while I was away?

That was a **** week- sorry to hear about your losses and the other problems. On a lighter note- every week is a **** week on here- so nothing new there then.

I don't want any more funerals for the foreseeable future. I would have had the dog, but he was a lurcher, 14 years old and needed 5 miles a day. It's not fair leaving a big dog on its own in a house all day.
