since it is looking increasingly like i will be leaving my current place of employment in the near future, i have decided to **** around with the guys who are staying.

I think i have just managed to convince a client that the actually wants to build his house out of straw bales since that means he doesn't need to heat it unless its really cold. who ever takes this on when i leave will be ****ing raging. <laugh>

I saw some hippy **** do that on Grand Designs. He was going on and on about how straw was one of the best and most underrated building materials. I kept thinking that the first of the Three Little Pigs might disagree with him.
 
on paper it seems really good until you consider mice, fire, damp, how you hang a picture on the wall with out ripping the plaster down, getting a mortgage, having a house that looks like it was sculpted out of ****e. I could continue but i cant be arsed.
 
Yeah the guy on Grand Designs had walls that looked like they'd been done by a blind plasterer with hooks for hands. Plus his walls were about 2 and a half foot thick.

That's hippies for you though. There is a hippy commune in the woods near where I grew up. The two main one were called Tree-Paul and Tree-Henry. They made a totem pole and used to hunt deer with a home-made bow and arrow. We used to rip the pish out of them something rotten

<laugh> <laugh> You should get yourself up there Nev. My uncle was telling me they've got a proper camp these days with wooden furniture they made themselves.

They were an easy target back in the day. There's not much to do in a ****ey wee Highland village when you're 16 apart from get steaming, take drugs and make fun of the tree-folk who live in Balnagowan forest next to Muhammed Al Fayed's pink castle.

you underestimate the work involved in trying to get a straw house approved by the council.

they have a straw house too. i did a bit of research to convince him and found that they asked for volunteers to build them straw houses for free. i ****ing hate hippies.

<laugh> <laugh> I did hear that they'd built something proper. They lived in WigWams back when I lived up there <laugh>

It's amazing how many hippies have moved to the Highlands and Moray in recent years. Has anyone ever been to Findhorn? Those ****s are proper weirdos. I go so far as to call them a cult.
