4-5-1 for me tomorrow lads. the only way I think we'll get a win.

Our slow defence will be torn to shreds if we sit too high up. The pace of Remy will be too much for slow o'shea and tight arse bramble (who i'd drop). I'd rather sit deep and let O'shea keep things organised. However, it's a must perform game for n'diaye we need him storming out the box with the ball and use his power to connect the defence with attack. If rose is fit (or say's he's fit and risks himself.) we can move colback in to centre midfield. I know he's not the best cattamole replacement but he's better playing that role than any of the other ****e (larsson).

2nd half we can be a bit more attacking and expressive as remy, their main pace threat, seems to lose interest quite quickly when teams don't leave pace behind their back four.

Hate to say it but I cant see us winning tomorrow no matter what formation we play. However I do think our best option is to play with 5 in midfield in our away games but 2 up front at home.

Our last 11 games against them we have won 7 drew 4. lets just beat them AND easily. They are where they are for a reason, they are f*cking crap. lose to them tomorrow and we may as well pack in.

I'm worried about rose too but you can bet your bottom dollar that he'll start.

I wouldn't mind the 451 formation as much as long as its Fletch playing behind Graham.
IMO Sess' best position is out wide. He's not clinical enough in front of goal to be a striker and he's far too small to get behind the crosses of Johnson and Larson/McClean.

with a small squad its always a temptation to bring a player back in to hastily, its oneils fault, that we have no body else to do the job with any distinction.
i will await replies from all the rose tinted glasses brigade .

4 5 1 away from home is okay against anyone from top to bottom, it's not the formation that will lose us the game it's the tactics. If MON gets the tactics right we will win, if he gets them wrong then we will lose it doesn't matter who we have playing. For me this game is tailor made for the none starters/couldn't give a tossites to show they can play at this level for us and, if they don't show up for this one then we should be seriously looking at moving them on no matter how much they cost or who they are.
Personally I think we will nick this one not by much mind.

talc you are right about the tactics, martin came from a very ordinary team mostly of misfits and troubled players but under cloughies tactics , they done very well.
because they , worked as a unit , played to a system, and feared nothing as nothing was to be lost, liverpool **** themselves before a ball was kicked on two matches i remember, you knew any body who played for forest walked out knowing the other side feared them as a team , not because it was full of stars but that ethos which GREAT managers instill into his players.
