Alex Baptiste has criticised West Ham's style of football and referee Howard Webb after Blackpool's 2-1 play-off final loss at Wembley on Saturday.
"We were the better side," the defender told BBC Radio Lancashire. "It was embarrassing at times. They just hoof it long and hope for the best.
"It's a foul on me for the second goal, so the ref has done us no favours.
"I suppose everyone got what they wanted. Everyone wanted West Ham to win because they're a team from London."
Baptiste continued: "Congratulations to them, they won the game, but I know who I would rather play for.
"I wouldn't survive in their team because I'm not tall enough. All of them are 8ft tall."
"If we keep the squad together, we'll go up next year," added Baptiste. "You've seen the football that we play. We've just got to believe in ourselves a little bit more.
"We experienced winning it two years ago and it's a cruel game sometimes.
"Maybe we didn't deserve it last time, but we sure as hell deserved it this time."

    1. The Goal they scored was from a long ball
    2. We were 11 points ahead of them + beat them 4-0 and 4-1 (with 10 men) during the season so who is he to say they deserve it more than us
    3. He wouldn't survive in our team because he's dog ****e

KARL Oyston believes West Ham showed “a lack of judgment and grace” to make a fuss over the Wembley ticket sales.
Pool sold just under 30,000 tickets for the play-off final on Saturday – 8,000 short of their allocation.
West Ham, meanwhile, sold their full 38,000 and – with many Hammers fans still wanting to snap up tickets – made several complaints about not being allowed to use the Seasiders’ spare tickets.
The nature of those complaints – including comments made by West Ham’s co-chairman David Gold – were deemed by many at Pool to be disrespectful and patronising.
And it seems Oyston wasn’t too pleased either.
“The support from our fans was unbelievable at Wembley, and I thank every one of them for making the effort to be there,” said the chairman.
“There was a bit made of the ticket situation by West Ham, which was disappointing.
“If they think that in the present economic climate, a skip across London by tube can compare with a round trip costing a lot of money – and tickets costing a lot of money – for people who, in some cases, would probably struggle to afford it, then I think it is disingenuous of them at best.
“It lacks a bit of judgment and grace.
“I don’t want to start some war of words with West Ham, because it sounds like sour grapes and it isn’t.
“But I think it is ill-advised to make that sort of comment when we had such wonderful support, and when things are so difficult economically – particularly in our part of the world.
“It is not much of an achievement to get a tube across London as it is to get a train or a bus and bring your family back to Blackpool.”

    1. He's implying every West Ham fan lives in London
    2. Arn't things difficult economically in most places?
    3. So He thinks its better that fans couldn't get tickets even though there were 8 000 empty seats?

Atleast Holloway was gracious in defeat <doh>

Doesn't this bitter no-mark realise that he played in the defence that shipped 10 goals in the 3 games we played against them? As if he'd get into our side<doh>

So, up north it's considered 'an achievement' to manage to catch a train to London, well, I knew the bar for excelllence was a bit low up north, but catching a train? I've caught a few planes in my time, should I await my OBE?
