Forgive my cynical nature here but yet again I see loan signings going on that leave a bad taste in my mouth especially when we were explicitly told that Matt Smith had to go back to his parent club. My knowledge of what's going on deep in the bowels of Football League hierarchy is nowhere near you lads closer to the source but I wonder sometimes if there is anyone who knows what laws apply to any given club on any given day when it comes to transfers? Not meant to be a weekend moan because we are doing better than I expected after Matt left and the rest have picked up the scoring pace across the board and due to my flight to England later will probably not get today's score until tomorrow. Cheer them on from me cider!
So why is this different to the Matt Smith situation ? This bloke will have played for 3 clubs this season too, just like Smiffy ?
Think he has only actually played for Crewe and Doncaster, but he has only been under contract to Watford this season. Smith was under contract to Leeds at the start of the season moving to Fulham under contract which only allowed a certain amount of time on loan. If you remember he went back to Fulham for a day and then came back to us under emergency loan. I think he could of used the emergency loan to even go to another club but chose us. They are the rules that have been in place for donkey years even before when the transfer windows was cut to summer and winter only.
