Our best natural finisher since Killer. Have a look at his second goal tonight and tell me i am wrong. Massive bundle in our end when that one went in....loved his reaction. "IGOR....IGOR....FEED THE IGOR AND HE WILL SCORE"
He's stronger than he looks, and is capable of jinking past defenders. And then he's lethal in the box. A real find.
Yes, I am delighted to admit that I was too sceptical about him. Not only is he good finisher but he harries the defence (which is a bonus), without much help from Tucudean or Gudmundsson. Interesting that Buyens, who has been playing well, was poor today. I wonder if these ex-Belgian League guys are not fit enough to play three times in eight days. Maybe they are not used to such a physical game. There is maybe a pattern emerging.
I can't recall if Tucadean came from the Belgian league (having no.interest in it...) but Christ, he was crap today. A real lack.of effort.
Always looked threatening, could have got more if Church played a better ball at the vital moment. Tudacean had a bad game yes but Church is woeful, I don't want to see him play for us again, he was shocking last season, he'll be shocking this season and he'll be shocking for the rest of his career. Non goalscoring strikers are pointless. But yes Igor, what a find. Edit: Maybe a bit harsh on Church, he did do well for our 2nd, but he needs to add goals.
I can't help feeling if Igor get 12 goals by Xmas then he will be gone.and yes Church is really awful.
Thought church was better than Tucudean, but neither would find themselves in any other top 10 championship side. Neither would make a top 6 squad. Back to igor, he seemingly has everything. His leap makes up for his lack of height, frightening pace, can use both feet etc. what I like about today was the fact his goals were different to what we've seen. He's more than a right time, right place striker
Simon Puff Pastry Church could learn a lot from Igor technically, including how to time a jump for the ball. Regarding Typical's comments, I said similar to my sons on the way home last night. If Igor scores 20 goals for us this season it will be job done as far as RD is concerned. Adios and thank you.
He signed a 5 year contract, hopefully he'll spend enough time here to fire us to promotion. Sure we could sell him and make a profit, but RD must be aware of the riches in going up.
Igor has just been named Sky Championship Player of the Month for August. Well done that man (wrap him in cotton wool)
