I know this has been dragging on for weeks now but if we now got just 1 more class striker that would be enough for me. We need experienced cover for january and the ANC and for any injuries that may occur. (touch wood nothing like last season again). I believe we have enough cover for the left hand side (Richardson, Vaughan, Sess, Steed) and I am not unduly worried about that position. But......saying that if we did get someone like A Johnson (rumoured on an earlier thread but not seen anything myself) that would be the icing on the cake!

Believe Brown had a good hour last night and chuffed for Connor getting his first safc goal.

    ha way the lads

A top top striker moves our strong team 4 places up the premiership, if we still had Bent id say we could finish 6 or 7th, until we replace him 10th to 12th would be my guess. If it stays the same then i hope one of the new untried boys pulls a rabbit out of the hat!

I have to say, apart from the fact he is a greedy good for nothing ****, I wouldn't have Bent back. Our passing, movement, and general style of play has improved without him. Bent requires a team to play very one dimensionally, and I think we have outgrown him now. Very much the same way Spurs did.

The ****er will always get goals, no doubt about that, but I just think we are capable of more without him.
