I know a lot of people complain about Burnsy, I haven’t heard him for a long time TBH, but when I have, I’ve found him to be someone that celebrates, as the home commentator, but actually says what it is, if the opposition is good, he’ll say it. Same with the guy on iFollow, encouraging City, but unbiased.
However, since 2020, I’ve rarely heard any good opposing commentators who aren’t really biased, cringeworthy stuff sometimes.
There has been a few, mainly in League 1, but none that stand out to remember.
Sometimes I’d rather just listen to the crowd noise.

Not quite sure I understand the complaint, why listen to the opposition commentary if it annoys you, just listen to our guy?

My experience was in the first half there were frequent long periods when the 'away' commentary was in black-out mode, whereas the 'home' commentary was stable for the whole game. Less faffing about to listen to the opposition based coverage as a solution.

It’s whatever link I can get, it’s just a general question about opposing commentary, a lot of them seem to be the local BBC sides too.

I fully agree with what you are saying, I was starting to believe James Fletcher was a Baggies supporter, as he was just eulogising about them and how City was getting battered. I was getting so pissed off with his commentary that I turned the sound off for the last 30 minutes. The home commentator has to be at least partisan towards the home team IMO!

In the first half, City had 2 really good chances both saved by their keeper, the Oscar one could easily have gone in rather than unluckily hitting the bar. Up to the own goal, which was fortunate for them, Ingram had hardly had anything to save. Goals change games.
