...............have a read of this lot - very interesting. http://swissramble.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/cardiff-city-bullet-blue-sky.html
Interesting in terms of amount of detailed analysis but in bottom line terms does it tell us more than we already knew or suspected? What will be of more interest, will be the 2014/15 accounts where I expect to see VT's debt closer to £150m although there should also be £20m+ coming back in from player sales.
fk me sparkey I`d need a full school term 2 sort through that lot>>>>>>can I add that swissramble has way 2much time on his hands and that he should enjoy the clean alpine air instead or regret it in thy future. anyway what does the article mean........are we doomed or do we have a licence 2thrill slade style (cover version lol)
What an absolutely brilliant piece of work. The comparisons between us and other Premier League clubs is new to me and the whole article, if not depressing, shows what a horlicks has been made of the club's finances. Is it common knowledge that Mackay was compensated for his dismissal?
Not pretty whichever way you paint it. We've thrown money at it, tried scattergun (MM) and hit and hope approaches (OGS) and now seem to be adopting a ????? I'm not sure what!!! We desperately need a footballing leader in the board room to set a strategy. A step back to take two forward would be ok with me. Looking at the numbers, it is interesting to see the ratios and the different approaches taken by different clubs. Hi dependence on TV rights, high salary but lower transfer fees, high debt to turnover. No club from top to bottom shines in all areas and are all 'at risk' but they all have a way of doing it. Interesting that Chelsea has no debt while Manure have the greatest. Man City have huge operating losses, Swansea one of the most dependant on TV money. All is needed for any club is a change in one dynamic for the wheels to fall off. Scary stuff everywhere. But for us........ .........footballing direction strategically please and the rest will look after itself.
