...this should cheer you up From a Blackburn messageboard (pre Hughes confirmation) http://www.brfcs.co.uk/mb/index.php/topic/26274-warnock-axed/
Yeh, we need Blackburn to burn. Yet I've seen them put in some good performances so not sure they will.
You know what Norway? It doesn't cheer me up at all seeing what those Blackburn fans are writing. Yes, great news they rate both Fernandez AND Hughes and all the ambitions involved. Great that they'd take Sir Neil over Keane or anyone else they're likely to get... But can't help thinking that there but for the grace of God were we - just four months ago. Non-communicative, tight wad owners with not a clue about anything positive and little hope of salvation. Poor ****ers. I feel it for them. At least our shareholders make timely and progressive decisions and communicate with the fans via a human face atm. Change is often painful but little doubt we're trying to go places. All they see is misery. Interesting link though. People SHOULD read it for a bit of perspective.
Not making fun of them, can see that my symbol might make the wrong impression. Was primarily meant to show their appreciation of Hughes and our owners, and Warnock actually. I won't try to hide the fact though that it helps, sometimes, to see that some are worse off than us. It was more fitting at the time when the thread got started, Neil Warnock sacked and we not knowing what to expect, i'll admit that.
I do feel sorry for blackburn they have said a lot of nice things about TF,i have got to sympathise with them about their owners they look a right bunch of criminals long live TF.
Swings and roundabouts Brix. Sure they are suffering and I take no pleasure in that, but at least they have a Premiership trophy in the cabinet and have seen the good times in the relatively recent past. Like us, just goes to show how quickly things can change for good or ill.
Yeah, I know Stan. Whilst I sympathise with any fans going through the misery we did, I suppose it's our near miss I was lamenting. Suppose the Goons never wanted to sell or failed to find a buyer - all that would be us now. And would they have kept Sir Neil. Not a chance, Briatore would have swapped him for Julius Caesar straight after the Fulham game!
As you say Brix - there but for the Grace of God we'd still be. Reading those posts I'd like to see them get out of the mess - but like the Harry Hill gag about who is the better person Gandhi or Idi Amin. You'd pick Idi everytime if you were in a tug of war contest. And we are, so I'm afraid their misfortune is good for us.
