I agree with your sentiments, but on a few occaissons (is that spelt right?) my posts have been deleted, I try not to post anything offensive

sorry to hear that, must confess I cant remember aany of your posts being bad but it could be me, if it was then sorry. I think one problem we had, the mods, was getting to know the job live. No training just in at the deep end and its the same on every board, mistakes have been made but hopefully we are getting better.

Think I know what the problem is. I believe that some of our members assume that their post has been deleted, when the post has actually been moved to another thread on the same subject. I'm not sure how we could deal with notifying members when a post is moved, because sometimes there can be a number of posts before the duplication is spotted by a mod.

I wonder if it would be possible to build an automated message into the forum?

Can't really see much point to this. the OP implied that your not allowed to have your opinion, but just now your opinion is that folk can't wait to side with one another. My opinion is that they are just trying to be fair, and tell it how it is.
Of course it's a football forum and of course people don't always agree, they have their own opinions, wouldn't be much point in a forum otherwise.
Give your opinion,'cos that's all it is, YOUR opinion, others might agree, others might not, but for heavens sake don't start whinging when somebody doesn't agree or tries to shoot you down. That is THEIR opinion

Never had any problem with mods as I do not post any offensive stuff
