If you were the owner of Leeds United and had 100 million to give to the manager for new players, contracts and whatever they have left can be used to develop the ground. How much would you give too the manager for players and how much would you keep for development of Elland Road. In my opinion we need 4/5 quality players for the first 11 then 2/3 more for back up. I'd give the manager 10 million for the players, sort contracts out with Snodgrass,Clayton,Mccormack and White. For season tickets I'd make them £450 for the highest priced stand and £250 for the lowest (Adults) Under 18's are 250 highest and 150 lowest and under 6's and over 65's are free. Highest priced tickets for a match day would be £25 adults £15 under 18's and £10 for under 6's and over 65's. What would you do personally? The signings I would want to make would be Paddy Kenny,Halford,Rhodes,Ambrose,Peltier. Maybe look at 1/2 loanees from premiership clubs such as Arsenal,Chelsea,Man City as they have alot of good kids needing experience.
Sorry Enoch, but the people you want to sign are only championship material, when we get promotion we shall want to offload these players and get Premier class players in, wont be easy mate, IF and i mean if we do have a take over, NW has a tough job in front of him.
But some of the players we have in the squad are capable of been premiership quality. Clayton,Snoddy,Pearce could be. If Gradel and Howson were to come back they'd be prem quality and Paddy Kenny isn't the worst keeper in the prem.
Would give Warnock 10-12 million if needed and an extra 3 million at Christmas, would lower gate prices to get the fans in and leave the rest sitting in the bank and/or invest heavy on the youth set-up. £100 million doesn't go far if you are looking for a champions league spot, look at the prices being paid for the likes of Carol and Chelsea spending £38 million for Hulk then wages to take into account. You just can't compete with the big spenders, the only way to do it is develop and discover your own.
First I would buy back stadium. Second I would apply for class one academy status to gain & protect the best young talent. Third, I would take a strong position on existing players, sign a decent offer of a contract or leave. FANS: Welcome the supporters clubs and work with them. Rebuild the trust and set out the clubs aims and limitations. i.e we wont spend 100m in one go on over inflated price to agents and clubs. SQUAD: I would make it clear Leeds are back as a force to be counted and will be looking to sign up decent out of contract players in the future. Invest a reasonable transfer fee on the following players: CB Craig Dawson LB Danny Rose CM Henri Lansbury LW Nathan Redmond Sign up the following on Bosmans: CM Paul Scharner CF Emile Heskey AMF Gai Assulin LM Paul Anderson CB Luke Chambers STADIUM: If we gained promotion, then I would extend the North Stand to increase the KOP by 4000 & knock down and rebuild the west stand with new corporate boxes and steeper sides to improve the atmosphere. Other Completely New Ideas TICKETLESS: I would work with Barclays or First Direct to introduce contactless tickets so fans could pay with their mobile phones etc, to get more impulse day of the match purchases. AUTOMATION: We should also invest in automatic ticket points (like you get at train stations) around the ground and throughout Leeds to allow fans to buy & print off tickets without queue or staffing costs. (Better still we could partner East Coast and use the existing points in their train stations for free). TRAM: We should push Leeds City Council to introduce a short direct Tram to Leeds City Centre. This could operate as a Park & Ride into Leeds from the M621 during the week delivering a higher passing trade than Beeston currently offers. Plus it would bring in more fans on match days. If it terminated at on north side of Lowfields Road it could pick up the old disused viaducts that cross over Geldard Road and go all the way into the City Centre without any expensive roadworks etc. SHOP: Following promotion I would put the club shops back in Bradford, Leeds, Wakefield & York to re-establish the club within the region. Too many small provincial clubs like Middlesbrough, Hull & Huddersfield have tried to establish themselves in our outlying areas.
Not sure about some of the players that you mentioned Old Peacock but you certainly sound like you would have a decent plan in mind
