    Here is the situation. Aliens are hovering above Earth and they look like they're up to no good. They demand;

    SHOW US THE TEN FINEST ENGLISH FOOTBALL CLUBS AND WE WILL SPARE YOUR LIVES!!!

    You have to select ten English football clubs to present in a portfolio to the aliens what English football is all about. This is life or death so rivalries and dislikes must be set aside.

    Which ten clubs do you consider the best representatives of English football? (doesn't neccessarily mean the most successful clubs)

    Just in case it was a ploy to find out the best team and then destroy it so that they could beat an Earth XI at football, I'd say Blyth Spartans was the best team if they asked me.

    Liverpool
    Aston Villa
    Nottingham Forest
    Sunderland (though it pains me)
    Totternham Hotspur
    Ipswich Town (for the Bobby years)

    You'd want to tell them **** teams who play attractive football, that way they'll base their game on those teams. We'll then have a highly entertaining intergalactic league full of teams we can beat.
