As the window is closing fast.
If you were manager and it became clear that no current EPL players were willing to come to Stoke due to the wage structure who would you take a punt on from the Championship. Got my eyes on one or two but was wondering who you would go for.

3 from the championship:

LB: Ridgewell
ST: Jerome
ST: Cole
CM: Parker
Wing Cover: Gradel

I think them 5 WILL definately improve our squad.
 
Nicky Maynard, fast knows where the goal is and he's a good solid player.
Would have liked D J Campbell but... he's signed elsewhere.

Can not really think of any more out and out striker's apart from Jerome and Cole.

NO THANK YOU.... Would rather have Jones and Walters with Ric and Mama before wasting money on those two.
That say's how much I rate Jerome anyway, I don't rate him at all. Cole, I think might be an O.K. for us but he's turned us down I thought due
to high wage demands.
 
Im sure wen i say this if TP dont bring in a few top players i will be amazed !!!
he is what he is a close to the chest top manager ..
in TP we trust he will deliver lets just see fingers cossed x

I think he'd be one most Stokies would want but i've heard a few times that Maynard loathes Stoke plus someone I know, who seems quite clued up with certain things at Stoke, claimed to me that the reason Maynard wouldn't come to Stoke is that Fuller slept with Maynard's girlfriend. No idea whether it's true, but that's what he said.

Would hate to see Jerome or Cole put on the R&W stripes.
 
If I were TP and couldnt get the decent players I wanted or needed, I would pick up a couple of young english talent from the championship and would get to marque sigings on loan! Parker & Bellamy etc! I'd rather he did that than buy dross or players very similiar to the omes we already have!
 
we shouldnt be fishing round in bargain basement for players just for the sake of it. There are plenty of really good players abroad who are cheaper and are of a higher quality.

That Cisse from Freiburg perhaps? He's got an outstanding record over the past 2 seasons. 35 in 50 or something like that. We were tentatively linked with him one I think, about a month ago.

Then I would spray Jone's shorts with deep heat and tell him he can't change em until he's scored three, give the back four viagra to try and put the opposition strikers off (Huth running at me with a hard on would put me off my stride) and there's even a place on the pitch for Diao if we can teach him to drive the lawn mower.
