    What would you do?

I'd pay Bill Sweetman what he asks for to come a kick a few arses in the team. The nicely bouffant haired - playstation playing generation is having it too easy.

    any other ideas lads?

Reform Grassroots football. I firmly believe the problem lies before the clubs pick them up. Currently PE teachers don't require FA coaching Badges to teach football, kids are playing with the wrong sized balls on wrong sized pitches. Councils have sold off pitches for building development and the FA hasn't done enough to ensure enough pitches are available. Most of all bring the cost of coaching courses down, they need to realise that on the first rung coaches are paid very little, in fact usually voluntary and short of the qualifications required. Without a decent foundation we'll never produce the quality needed, even if these problems were addressed tomorrow it would take decades to see the full effect, unless they act now and sort it out they prolong the problem in definitely. I bet these issues won't even be addressed in 5 years time.

I suppose spending nearly a billion pounds on a football stadium when we are blessed with dozens of the worlds best wasn't the best of ideas.

Be brave, that's all, England are so cowardly in everything they do.

Having people in the FA who are there for the money, the blazer and the foreign travel is typical and endemic.

Hodgson couldn't inspire me to drink beer and look at lasses.

Gerrard came onto the pitch, in both games, looking like he'd spent the night in a shop doorway ........ what a ****ing misery that bloke is.

And BBC news are on this morning claiming the only difference between the two sides was Suarez, what a load of bollocks.

England were a shambles at the back, the captain looked shot to pieces, Rooney celebrated for Rooney not England.

I have to say, even Henderson was gutless and invisible.

Given the state of things and the decision to do up Wembley show's that they're completely oblivious to the real problems. Whole thing's ****ed, start at the bottom and rebuild, remodel.

Sort the referee's out in the premier league - Sturridge was going down faster than a bird in a Linda Lovelace movie as soon as anyone touched him and looking for a free kick that he would normally get in the premier league with a "big" club

Spot on - Him and Sterling both were. When Sterling took that dive in the box not one of the pundits or commentators said a word - I wonder what would've been said if it was Suarez? Worst divers on the pitch last night were all in England shirts not Uruguay!

Find a way to cap wages and transfer fees in the premier league and have all the big clubs pay a % of their transfer fees and wages into a pot to develop young home grown players. I would also have a cap on the number of foreign players.

Its the only way to stop it all getting out of control. The caps could still be reasonably high so players could earn big wages, but not let them get stupid.

Oh I'd also change the "prize money" structure in the leagues so that the lower league clubs got more money from the big boys pot

I'd make the England players play for free. They would then have to earn their money with an equal amount going to their chosen charity. They would then start to put in proper shifts. They could be paid on an average score of what the top 10-15 newspaper give

I'm not surprised that remotely average foreigners 'beg' to play in the premiership.
They must look at what players are earning.... Against their abilities and think... ££££££££ !!!!!!

The only thing 'World Class' in the England dressing room... Is the 'world class' wages they pick up!
They should be done for 'fraud' every payday!

Agree entirely. Rooney was more concerned about his reputation/brand, so that now he has scored he's got the 'scored in a world cup' monkey off his back.

The whole thing stinks from top to bottom.

Have a team of players ONLY playing for England an nobody else, from about 100 players 20 -25 years old and they train, shop and live together and play friendlies all over the world, and once that team is picked play them in consecutive matches and the same formation.

I would sack Brooking and all the other FA jobs for the boys brigade. Forget about having yes men and install a manager and players who want to play for pride and glory of the country, not line their pockets and add to their CV.

I would also try to install a rule were all the other 19 clubs in the EPL started with -65 points thus giving SAFC a chance of winning the title.
