    Invest like normal?
    Spend nowt?
    Sell players to spend?

If we are heading down then the club value will more than half, especially with Covid impacting too.

He’s got a choice to make...

My guess is that he will want to continue with spending just enough to keep us up.

I'd loan a few players and try and stay up... PIF will be back or someone else post covid

I’d flog ASM for £40m + then drop the price of the club to £225-250m.

I’d just want out ASAP and at that price I’m sure I’d get more buyers.

I’d also tie down Matty Longstaff to increase my asset base and pay big loan fees as a one off to get 2-3 top players to keep us up next season so I have time to sell.

Bear in mind as well.. if crowds are allowed back at SJP... a lot will still stay away for Covid reasons (vulnerable) and a lot because of the regime still.

a quick question for the lawyers on here... if NUFC can’t let fans in next year for a large part are they in breach or will FM kick in to make the contract null and void?

If so I can see a lot more folk simply walking away now.

Ashley won't be going anytime soon... I think this might be the final straw a a good few thousand more fans on top of the 10k from last year.... Then if we struggle it'll be the end for more I suspect..

I sit around many fans who have had the same seats for over 20 years
Many of them like me getting older (maybe not wiser) and not looking forward to the games anymore
many talking about giving up altogether, as the can't see the point of it all
Some travel from far out places like Alnwick and West Auckland where they don't have reliable public transport on a mid week winters night
and are starting to miss these games, only attending when the games are on Saturdays or early Sundays

It won't take much for these guys to jack it all in

I think the biggest issue is going to be the scar this leaves.... I've said this a few times, but as the club struggles, loses players, can't keep youth it will always come back to this.. A lasting chip on already damaged shoulders..

A genuine point here lads. Anxiety is now not the taboo subject of old. If most of us think long and hard, attending all the games a year doesn’t help anxiety levels. Since I got rid of my ST after years I’ve been a lot more chilled and realise that by cutting out the low of a match day things are a lot more chipper. Still go to games on an adventure and when’ basis but it serves to remind me why I chucked my ST.

there’s not many other industries where you would gladly hand over £500 a year to feel ****.

Hmmm. Well, let’s think. I might either sell to a Singapore consortium, or have a word with Michael Chopra.
