Now the windows closed (apart from free agents) who would you pick for the games v SCFC ? I´ll go a 4-4-2 with... GK Schmeichel DEF De Laet Moore Morgan Konch MID Schlupp Drinkwater Mahrez Cambiasso FOR Nugent Ulloa SUBS Hamer Simpson Was´ski Hammond King Albrighton Vardy What do you think ?
I wouldn't drop King while he is on form and would have Powell on the bench. On another note what has happened to Knockaert - is he injured or something?
Schmeichel De Laet, Morgan, Moore, Konch Cambiasso Mahrez, Drinkwater, Knockeart Vardy Ulloa Hamer, Wasil, Hammond, King, Schlupp, Albrighton, Nugent Think these games would benefit more from Knockys skill rather than Schlupps pace. edit: this is only if i was the manager, i dont see Pearson making 4 changes from the team that drew against Arsenal. He may bring in DD in midfield, or Cambiasso if he thinks hes fit.
Can't agree here - Knocky has a lot of growing up to do - gives the ball away far too often and far too easily ... I'm afraid Knocky is now a long way off being a first choice on the team sheet IMHO ... Konch is definitely benefitting from knowing that Schlupp's pace is there to back him up ... and Mahrez has totally eclipsed anything Knocky has previously done ... The beauty of it is the options we now have ... can we drop Andy king? - would be harsh ... in fact the only change that I think can be justified in the current starting line-up (injuries aside) would be Vardy for Nugent ... a little harsh on Nuge as his overall contribution hasn't been bad but he should have scored a least a couple in those 3 games if we are being brutally honest ...
I´m a massive Vardy fan but with him being out for a few weeks I think it´ll be abit to early to bring him in. I´d maybe do that v Manc Poo mind. Good point about King but when you´re a football manager you some times have to be brutal though.... ... plus I like the look of Cambiasso on paper
4 3 3 Kasper Delaet Moore Morgan Konchesky Cambiasso Drinkwater King Vardy Mahrez Ulloa Subs Hamer Wasy Simpson Hammond Albrighton Nugent Schlupp Ulloa up front Vardy and Mahrez playing wide and running at the defenders . Cambiasso sitting in front of the defence King and Drinkwater distributing . wide forwards dropping into midfield when Stoke in possession.
Dont think we will have 2 defenders on the bench. I would expect both Powell and Lawrence on the bench til they have trained with us some more. See Lawrence fighting for Schlupps place and Powell for Nuges. When we play 4-4-2, think Ulloa and Vardy will be the partnership. So many options now, it is untrue. King and Hammond have both grafted til they have dropped, but think Drinkwater will probably get his place back now he has come on as sub. Schmike De Laet Moore Morgan Konch Schlupp Drinkwater King Mahrez Nuge Ulloa (if fit) subs Hamer, Lawrence, Cambiasso, Powell, Simpson, Vardy, Albrighton Extremely harsh on Hammond
With the ball Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Moore Konchesky Cambiasso James Drinkwater Mahrez Ulloa Vardy Without the ball Schmeichel Simpson Morgan Moore Konchesky Drinkwater Cambiasso James Mahrez ---------Vardy Ulloa
Can't see Matty James' tender shin being risked against the Stoke flower-arranging ballerina types meself ...
A few on FT that have given info previously. I think the posts were promptly removed. Hopefully not as bad as it sounds, if indeed it's true at all.
Wouldn't get too fussed ... Knocky has a Gallic temper and RDL has a face that sort of begs to be slapped ... flare-ups happen all the time on the training ground ... part and parcel of such a competitive sport ...suspect knocky is a tad frustrated right now ... he has been knocked down the pecking order by recent fine displays by Mahrez and Schlupp and that won't help said Gallic temperament ...
Any Dutch words that translate into a swear word in French? Surely if hes going to slap another player it would be a winger to get them injured
Personally don't see Nige making any changes to starting XI unless someone is carrying a knock (or tactically changes formation) ...
