West Midlands (and a couple of extra teams) now

    Your choices are

    Birmingham City
    Wolverhampton Wanderers
    Walsall
    Coventry City
    Aston Villa
    Northampton Town
    MK Dons
    West Bromwich Albion

Who would you follow and why ?

I think I'd opt for Wolves. They always seem to have a great atmosphere and a proper old fashioned approach.

I went there to see Wolves v West Ham in the mid 70's. Bobby Gould was playing for West Ham and scored their only goal in a 3-1 home win.

    Probably villa

Northampton and Walsall are a bit too small
    Can't go for franchise
Coventry's stadium is more empty than the gap in their defense

Wolves and Birmingham don't seem as good as west Brom and villa

And villa have a decent ground and ground

WBA as I said on a previous thread many years ago. If city went bust and out the league I would probably follow WBA over any of the others reachable by car.

I'd be a baggies fan too. Only been to their ground once and saw city get hammered but it's a nice ground, decent fans and a team you know will always be either in the prem, or if they are in the championship you know they'll be fighting at the right end.

West Brom for me as well - 2 reasons

The Hawthorns is one of my favourite grounds
I'm old enough to remember the 3 degrees for the 70's

Plus the Hawthorns is the highest ground in the football league, so at least top of something <laugh>
