    That Barton, Jose, Nolan, Carroll for (35m) and Chris Houghton were to leave, Leon Best would be our new talismanic striker, Alan Pardew <yikes> would be our manager, Ben Arfa would suffer a terrible injury :emoticon-0107-sweat and none of the money would be reinvested id have most likely cried and potentially resorted to violence towards Mr Ashley.

    Amazingly these turn of events have made me the happiest ive been as a Newcastle fan in a good long while, seems nigh on impossible with all thats happened. Major credit has to be given to Pardew and the backroom staff for rebuilding our squad as shrewdly as they have.

    Completely agree <applause>

    Although, the last time I have been really ecstatic and happy with life as a Toon fan was after that incredible month with the demolition derby, and defeating West Ham and Arsenal away! Was that really 10 months ago???

    But yes, I think with the Uefa fair play rules coming into play, in 10 years, people might look back on this period more fondly.

    If you told me a year a go that fans still couldn't spell Chris Hughton correctly; I'd probably cry and resort to violence as well.
