On a lighthearted note did any of you see the "pig racing" on SkySportsNews today? You are an amusing bunch so the question is....if you had a "racing pig"........what would you call it? Mine would be..............BRINGHOMETHEBACON
naming him would create an emotional attachment that in the long run might make it more difficult to eat him.
In ‘The Archers’ the pigs don’t partake in racing. Instead they play football! Tom Archer’s video clip of them went viral (whatever that means) and brought untold riches to Bridge Farm as a result apparently. True story as I’m sure an Ambridge aficionado will concur. George, makes a very good point though about giving ‘pets’ or animals human names. Something I’ve never understood – a white cat you call him Snowy, a black one gets monikered Sooty. Although there is a cat who lives near Chuckle Towers called Clive who is a lovely old top. I once asked the old girl who owned him why he was called Clive and she looked at me as if I was mad, before responding, ‘Because he looks like a Clive, of course’. Not much you could say to that! Anyway back to the ‘brass tacks’ of the thread and my oinker, giving a nod to the current 2,000 Guineas and Derby fave, would be called HAMALOT. Surprised, meanwhile, no-one has responded though with the awful name of HARRY TROTTER!
