Danny as an AM? I dont think so. He's not so good with his left foot. Lacks the required passing skills, technique and close control and has spend his career honing his skills as a center forward. So why bother?
It's not like Swansea is in lack of potential attacking midfielders either.

I still have confidense in Danny and i'm sure he will be back scoring soon but he will probably end up second choice striker after january. Michu up front is not a viable solution imo.

I was told that Michu's goals have dried up since playing up front. None in four? Haven't been keeping up with the stats so I stand to be corrected.

Michu was recruited as a goal scoring midfielder in which role he was superb in La Liga. His value is supporting the main striker and getting late into the box to strike. He is harder to mark coming from deep with the defence looking out for the centre forward. If they concentrate on looking out for Michu then this allows others more room in the penalty area. Playing up front, Michu's value is eroded because he is there to be seen by the defenders, so I am not a fan of using him in this role.

We need Danny, or Moore/ Shecter, as the focal point for opposition defenders allowing Michu more freedom to strike. Just my opinion.

<laugh> so lets play him as striker...<doh> he has proved he is not a premiership striker and is coming off the bench replacing errrrm a midfielder ...<laugh>....Sir mike will blow him out if he dont improve and he may be loaned out in january to the championship because he is not up to standard to keep us in the premiership as a striker.....sir mike knows that anyway as he is not first choice anymore.....

Completely agree. Michu is an intelligent footballer with great passing skills and is really good at timing his runs and reading the game. I believe he has more value as an AM even though he would probably do well as a striker given time. Or even wide left not that we need that atm. Or as a plain centre midfielder. He really is a flexible player.
