If you could only strengthen one position in the summer, which position would it be. Or specifically, if you could only sign one player, which position would you sign them in. I know the immediate thought is a striker, but a midfield play maker stands out to.
such a question can only lead me to state; this would be a disaster. i agree priorities have to be assigned and striker is no 1.... but we simply cannot buy one guy and hope we need 6 players to be competitive. oh and aquilani is terrible and a waste of time talking about.
Difficult question because as you say, strike is number 1 but our midfield needs some work on it! As we have an abundance of midfielders already (whether they are good enough or not), we're lacking strikers so i would get a striker. MITO - Aquilani isn't terrible, he played extremely well when he actually played for us bagging a few goals and assist. He is head and shoulders above all of our currenty midfielders atm.
Exactly this, a midfield of Lucas, Gerrard and Aquilani would be far superior to what we play lately. I would say a striker or winger is needed mostly, if we could get anyone.....Cavani or Munian.
Problem is - I just don't see him coming back. I'm sure another team will come in for him and I heard Fiorentina were interested. If we could get him back and he actually played, then great.
