...here's a cheeky little vid of Snoddy's goal today I managed to catch. And boy did we go crazy!! Loved the reaction from the players as well, that meant a lot to them today and it's fantastic to see the spirit and togetherness still all there to see. Loved hearing Morro's name being sung as well, thought he put in a hell of a shift when he came on and it obviously meant a lot to him as well as he was the first to come over and applaud the travelling faithful. Garrido, Pilks, Johnson, Barnett, Howson, Rusty and Snodgrass were all outstanding today, can't fault anybody. Should have had all three points, can't wait to watch the extended highlights on channel 402 red button starting right now!
That penalty shout of ours, the only way the ref could have said it was not a penalty was because it started outside the box, maybe, but that should at least have been a free kick on the edge of the box! It was so blatant, how dis he miss it????
Canary Dave bor, in answer to your question: How did he miss it. The same way last week's ref missed seeing Zamora infringing in the penalty box right in front of his eyes. Refereeing falls far below the standard expected from officials paid to do the job. No other sport consistently provides officials that are not good enough. For instance, snooker. The referee frequently has to place the ball after a foul shot. They get it spot on using their memory. In rugby the ref frequently has to decide if a player has touchdowned under a ruck of players. They manage to officiate correctly. We had the ignomy of one of our refs in a international competition being sent packing because he awarded "three" yellows, the FA are concentrating on improving our players ability with the introduction of St George's Park, what are they doing to improve the refereeing standards??? Football clubs are quite capable of improving players with their academies. Refereeing comes solely under the jurisdiction of the FA!!!
I'm actually sick and tired of the refereeing situation. We're told to respect them but as a Norwich fan that has just been continuously screwed over again and again and again when a ref awards a **** penalty against us I'm no longer surprised. I'm even less surprised when it's against a "big club" The standard of refereeing, particularly since being promoted, is dire. Borderline criminal.
To be fair, the shirt pull on Morison was a nailed on penalty - as was the challenge by Bassong which was (wrongly) adjudged to be just outside the penalty area. For the resulting free kick, our wall retreated about 6 yards! I know two wrongs don't make a right, etc, but...
I think Bassong deserves explicit mention too. He's seems to have taken Barnett under his wing and his advice and encouragement are clearly appreciated and beneficial. Just needs to keep those long legs reeled in a bit more in the box!
Didn't work for me either, thank god for this site http://www.soccer-blogger.com/2012/...e-snodgrass-goals-huddlestone-red-card-video/
Shearer saying "Only time will tell" Hasn't got a ****ing clue, wouldn't know where Norwich was on a map. Not as bad as Lawro though.
SkySports show like 45 mins of any prem game also, which i think is good ,compared to motd you dont get the jist of how the game was played and the real idea of who was on top
I despise MOTD I absolutely hate Hanson and Lawrenson it's an absolute piss take the public have to pay their wages. There are people in pubs across the country with more knowledge then those condescending pricks. Shearer might as well be a dummy as he has the personalty of one. The BBC have an amazing knack of getting their staff wrong, Sky get it so right the only person who annoys me on their books is Matt Le Tissier and that's only because he has some misguided hatred towards Norwich.
He was very relaxed he was over biased towards Spurs too but an improvement on the usuals. Shearer is a waste of space he isn't even interested. Whoever produces that programme needs to seriously sort it out, it feels like there is someone in the studio ready to sack them all, there is a very sober but awkward atmosphere. Crank it up get some pundits in with strong opinions, who have a lot to say and like to debate.
Couldn't agree more, its in desperate need of a shake up. Doesn't look like its going to happen any time soon though since one of the few decent pundits, Dixon, has just left.
Go to all the trouble of posting it to yootoob, writing an article on here and then I go and post the wrong bludda link. Try this one and enjoy...
