you must be bloody mad* *(if you live near Southampton and have the means to get to a game etc etc) These are the best days, don't miss out of them. It's bloody great.
If only, CBK, if only. Just can't do it at the moment, maybe get a chance for a couple of games this season but generally just too difficult. It's very frustrating, because the atmosphere sounded fantastic coming over the Player today.
Brilliant second half performance today. Defensively we are getting better and better and going forward we are playing some of the best football in the division.
Let me make it clear, I'm not having a pop at any Saints fans who live outside the Soton/Hampshire area. I just find it baffling that clearly we have more fans in the city who are simply not going at the moment. They'll turn up for the Pompey game, last game of the season or if we drew a top prem side in the cup... but to miss out on great football such as this right now, after years of absolute garbage, is for me, mad. If you have any mates or work colleagues who fit that description, have a dig at them.
You have to take into account that a day out at St Mary's costs about £30-35+, so those who can't afford to go to every game are obviously going to pick and choose the stand-out fixtures. I admit to being slightly disappointed with attendances so far, but we do actually have the 3rd highest average attendance in the division ahead of the likes of Leeds, West Ham and Leicester (http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/attend.html)
I can't believe what I was seeing in the second half today, it was amazing! Before you ask, no I wasn't talking about the hot woman infront of me
Will only be able to get to the Pompey game/big cup draw/last game of the season, don't consider myself any less of a fan. Would love to get to more but its a long way to go and costs a lot of money. Which I don't have much of being a student..!
CBK, I assume by "right now" you didn't mean literally 5.54PM today, as people might be disappointed. On the other hand if they went to St. Marys about 3pm then they will have been treated to one of the best performances that I can remember. I am so excited by that performance.
Sadly for me I was involved in a cup game which by my calculations was between teams that are 17 and 19 divisions below the Premiership. So that was a shame.
Sex, drugs, rock n roll and Saints second half champagne footy. 2 hour drive home to Northampton for fish n chips and a bottle of red wine!!! Life is great!
I go to most home games but couldn't make it this weekend, and now I have to wait for 4 weeks! Mega irritating... Also reckon for the West Ham away game I'll be able to get a ticket on the gate?
I've been to as many game as I could manage lately. Unfortunately, I live in darkest Kent, and I'm soon relocationg to Key West for the next 18 months, which will put me even further out of touch at probably the best time to be a saints fan that I can remember.
There are two kinds of Saints supporter on here, the ones that want to be at St. Marys but cannot and those that want to be at St. Marys and were there.
You are annoyingly right. I can't remember a single game I've missed that I didn't ache to be in that stadium.
Approx 45 minute drive each way for me so no biggie . Missed the first few home games due to work shift and a week in menorca . Went yesterday and will make 4 of the next 5 home games . ST is not wasted though as best mate uses it when I am not there
