I thought it was decent of CJS and a few fellow Sag fans when they congratulated City on promotion. However, bored as I am on a nothing Monday evening I reviewed comments from the early days of this site. Suffice to say : I will not be congratulating CJS and his fellow hypocrites this w/e or any other w/e.
been having a little reminisce have you? Shame some people don't have access to those kind of remarks and some have very short memories, I am cursed with a very good memory for certain things but rubbish at short term stuff.. Having said that, even though it was with through gritted teeth, I do believe it was mostly meant genuinely..
If they had held on to their lead on Saturday and taken 3 points, they would have been firmly in the driving seat for the last game. Now, with an inferior goal difference, only a win is good enough. If Barnet match that, and they are at home too, then the title will be theirs- Agent Akinde could strike again!
They're all getting so angry about it though the sags, there still in the play offs for gawds sake...
They certainly are showing signs of strain, they've got a thread up and the last 3 or 4 posts are... * Gateshead have got a ****load of injuries.. * Gateshead will be playing with 6 or 7 youngsters.. * They have lost the faith now.. * Barnet will win 3 0r 4 nil and the "gas" will draw.. Oh and cjs is crying.. They will still take 140,000 to Wembley though..
If they are promoted it WOULD be an achievement - I don't think any club has gone straight back up from the conference the season after being relegated (?). Having said that I don't really care. I am more concerned about what changes we are going to make in next seasons quest to get to the PREM
It's a shame that someone at Bristol City doesn't produce video quality like that because the matches that I watch on City Player are virtually unwatchable. It's sort of OK in the small format but the minute you use full screen it almost is a joke. Come on management you have put together a great team this season so why not invest a few bob on we supporters that can only watch on the computer and give us full screen HD quality videos.
To be honest, with the resources they should have, I would say getting out of non league should be a requirement not really an achievement. but I agree about not caring
The quality of football in that match is absolutely unbelievable! Top class, Hump It and Lump It. Much better on the Downs!
Oh dear, the Sags keeper has had a 'Lovejoy' for their goal. The Sags defence have defo subscribed to the 'if your not certain then just lump it anywhere' school of tactics
I won't go over and congratulate them, but secretly I'll be happy to see them up. Bristol deserves better in terms of sport. It's a ****ing travesty that either City or Rovers haven't seen Premier League football. It's also a ****ing travesty that a Bristol side dropped out of the professional leagues. I don't like Rovers, but I would be happy to see them in the same league as us, ideally at the highest level. We need real competition to thrive.
Mike when you watch the video you're watching it on the programmed quality of 480p, You need to go into the settings and put it on 1080p hd. You'll notice the difference then
I'm hoping Barnet are auto promoted under MA, having personally been overjoyed by our rivals down the road Dover's late equaliser against the Gas. I always felt as a Gills supporter aggrieved by his abrupt departure, especially after winning us our first title in 50 years. As for the play-offs it's a bit of a lottery and BR should assume nothing just yet, but probably deserve 2nd place at the very least as the standard in the Conference is better than some in L2.
