Great player - who'd become even conspicuously great leading the line for the Rs.

Doubt it'll happen though for all the reasons given above. Also, the age factor - 33.

Agree, even a bottom 4 Premiership team has got to be better than China?
If money is all that he wants then i would rather not have him at QPR.

His agent has already come out and said Drogba's next club will be a money maximisation exercise so that rules us out. China that club in Chechneya or UAE I reckon

I was looking forward to seeing Drogba play (but hopefully not score) when we had Chelsea at home. Just looking at the guy on the pitch impressed me with what a great athlete he is. He looks like an Olympian. Then the muppet got sent off...and we won:emoticon-0116-evilg

We've only got crowds of 18,000. For his wages we could get 3 players in which would overall do a much better job for us in keeping us up. A Drogba type would be a luxury we could look at once we are established in the Prem.

I disagree. We need immediate impact to keep us up and kick start our progression in this league. Assuming DD has 18 months left in his legs he would be the ideal candidate. As things progress we can look to youth. It would seem that we are willing to pay 50-60k a week for defenders so why not that for one of the best strikers in the world?

Drogba at his peak 3-4 years ago was awesome and probably the best striker in world football along with Torres. Sadly, he's a shadow of that performer and, with the wages involved, wouldn't be worth the risk. Amazing how the two of them are both shadows of their former selves...

QPAAAAAGH because he is on a lot more than that, and his agent says he is going to the club that offers him the highest wages. Not the fact that he particularly wants to play for them.

I dont want him, horrible bloke who dives all over the place, way past him best and will only chase the money so he will go off to the US or the middle east and rot there.

I was quite shocked to read the other day that the average age for our starting 11 against MK Dons was 29!! Surely its time to stop getting in jobbing Championship/Prem players or at least aim a bit younger.

it was actually 29.5 so in the summer it would be 30. Our average age for our best team would be over 30 if we included HH which is why Ive said all along we should not buy anyone 28 or over.
