    ---------------------Mig----------------------
    Bardo----Cuellar-----O'Shea----Colback
    ------------------Cattermole----------------
    Johnson--------------------------McClean
    ----------Sess--------------Dempsey------
    -----------------Fletcher-------------------
Sess and Dempsey would both play in that hole behind Fletcher and almost make it a 4-3-3 when we're on the front foot and could drop back into a 5 man midfield when we didn't have the ball. Cattermole is in the space in front of the defence but only because at present he is the best defensive centre mid we've got. I think it looks a fairly balanced side with the exception of Colback filling in for a specialist left back.

i personally think for 2 of our 3 midfielders (AJ & JM) to be 'wingers' in a 4-3-3 is far too attacking. A modern 433 has the wingers as part of the attacking 3, usually, with 3 more central midfielders in behind them.

I'd personally go for catts, larsson and dempsey as our midfield 3, with AJ, Sess and Fletcher ahead of them. McClean competing for places with AJ/Sess

In a word no. Who is going to supply to ball the the men going forward. You need a Colback or Larson in there for the supply a bit like a Qtr back in american football. If we sign Dempsey one of: McClean, Johnson, Dempsey, Sess will not be in the starting 11. But having 4 quality players that can interchange is sensible because there will be injuries and suspensions.

Yeah, he plays well at left back and it won't do his development any harm to play there until we get the player Marty wants, at least he'll learn to tackle properly. He's got a pretty good turn of foot too. If we don't get a specialist in by Saturday he will have to take his A game to Swansea though cause Dyer and co were devastating against west ham down the wings.

Vegas I take those points on board didn't really think of distribution out, having said that cattermole's distribution isn't the worst and I also think he might not be at the club very much longer. And also not sure we'll see as much of McClean this year as we think we will.. I have a feeling he'll be used a little more sparingly, he is still very young..
