and add 4 or 5 good quality players how well can we do?

This is also if we dont randomly sack Pardew and do something random like we usually do lol

I think we can challenge for Europe providing we keep key players fit

Enrique, Barton, Ben Arfa, Colo, Tiote r just class!!

We've played some good football this season with the players we've got and with the addition of four or five quality players coming in I think we'd do as good as anybody.

With Pardew? No where, sorry but that's my opinion. He's a **** manager, he talks the talk but hasn't delivered imo. He has no tactical awareness and when we go 1-0 down(apart from Arsenal) we just have no idea what to do.

I agree that Pardew isnt the best, but we cant go sacking him. I'm sik of our managers getting sacked lol

If we signed Peter Crouch, Daniel Sturridge, Roger Johnson, Stephen Ireland I wud be well happy:

    Steve Harper

    Danny Simpson - - - - Roger Johnson - - - - Fabricio Coloccini - - - - Jose Enrique

    Joey Barton - - - - Cheik Tiote - - - - Stephen Ireland - - - - Hatem Ben Arfa

    Peter Crouch - - - - Daniel Sturridge

    Well happy with that team!

I think that if we keep our top players and we make 4 quality signings, with a bit of luck with injuries, we could be looking at top 8.

I would see that as an excellent season and great progress.

    edit

I would also like to see some of our younger players start to really challenge for a place in the team. Hopefully Gosling will have better luck.

I'd hope we can follow Sunderland's success and finally break into that Top 9 if we get additional quality personnel

I'd like to see a new starting RB, CB, Gervinho, Steven Ireland and a top notch striker.

    -------------Forster--------------

    ?????-----Colo----?????----Enrique

    --------------Tiote---------------
    ---------Barton--Ireland----------

    Gervinho------------------Ben Arfa
    -------------???????--------------

4-5-1, 4-3-3 formation similar to Chelsea

IMO up front we need someone who can forge chances for himself, with a good first touch who can take down crosses and passes with both feet and his head and of course is composed infront of goal. That midfield has the potential to rip any team apart.

Samba at cb, no need to replace Simmo.
Gameiro up top? Focus on pace rather than strength.

Simpson can't defend and isn't anything special going forward imo.

Gameiro seems decent, havn't seen much of him tbh but could he play the lone striker roll? He's only like 5'7", not for me.

Think Simpson seems to split opinion on here, there are those who rate him and think we should give him time (I'm part of that group <ok>) and those who think we need a better fullback to improve. I dont think its a position that needs urgent strengthening and would be happy to see him there for next couple of years.

Gameiros a good player, we wouldnt prove much of an aerial threat with him, Gervinho and Ben Arfa up top but would be bloody exciting to watch.

I like Simpson and think that he is getting better with every game. However, we don't really have any decent cover at Right Back. Saylor can play there but tucks in too far and we look like we are playing with 3 centre backs, leaving loads of room out wide. Raylor can play there but to be honest I don't rate him. I can't think of anyone else.

Me and a mate were talking about how if we manage to keep our best players and add quality to that we would be sex!

    Harper
    Simmo - Tayls - Colo - Jose
    -------- Barton - Tiote
Gervinho - Ireland* - Ben Arfa
    ------------ Gameiro

I think Simmo and Tayls are good enough. Given a good run in the team and i beleive Tayls will easily be good enough, and it will give us a strong heading presence from set pieces.

Ireland though, if he performs well, and manages not to be a disruption in the dressing room (doesn't seem to be so far) then sign him, but if not then i think we should go for someone of Vargas' ilk.

And i would like either Gameiro or Toivonen for the main striker. Both are different players, but both with massive potential. Gameiro would probable have us playing more exciting football, thats why i put him in there. Wouldn't grumble if the Mussa Sow rumor was true though.

Personally, i think that team could challenge for Europe. <ok>
