Chatting on the other forum, and been reading comments on here the past few weeks regarding Kelly would be captain etc, Bryan should be first name etc

If we had a completely fit midfield,, who would make your team?

Odd selection for a fully fit team.

I don't know if its just me but when we played 4 CM we absoloutley dominated the game and we played the ball the best we have all season.

Would love to see this - Pack Kelly Wynter Bryan

I think the issue here is that we are now richly blessed with talented players for our midfield, and they are all young and raring to go.

Out of Kelly, Pack, JET, Wagstaff, Bryan, Elliott, Wynter and Burns, I would play a 5 man midfield of

    ------Pack---Kelly---Elliott---Bryan

    -------------------JET

with Elliott interchangeable with Wynter and Bryan/Pack with Wagstaff. Him we could use as an impact sub and scorer of crucial goals when at full strength
We now have real strength in depth in these positions, except for the case of JET who is irreplaceable.
With the acquisition of Shorey, we now only need to speculate on maybe a standby fullback to fill in for Cunny or Maloney, and a bright young talented goal scorer to cover for Baldock.
I think SOD has bought really well, and I can only see our young team getting better

    ----------------Fielding

    Maloney----Shorey----Flint----Cunningham

    -----Pack----Kelly----Elliott----Bryan

    ------------------JET

    ----------------Baldock

and the bench is looking stronger all the time

Williams, Carey, Reid, Wynter, Wagstaff, Burns, Parrish

That's what I was thinking, Spoilt for choice really and its a good headache for SOD to have, Wagstaff could get in the that midfield easily as well. Imagine if we still had Albert!

It's a tough choice, but maybe

    Reid Kelly Pack Bryan.

But to be fair I like most people's choice as well, that's why I asked the question.

Yeah cos he's really set our midfield alight over the last 3 years hasn't he (with 3 others.!)

He's competent at league one level...

    Not a clue victor..

And there was I thinking we were playing in the Championship...
    Not a clue banksy..

    Great goal today, typical Marv.
I'd have fancied playing against the likes of Kilkenny,Pack,Kelly etc etc

But Marvin Elliot - never in a million years.

Marv IS competent at this level, but give him a ball at his feet you might aswell give it to the opposition, I don't think I've ever seen a worse player with a ball than marv

But he is a solid league 1 player and has more positives than negatives

Exactly not an automatic choice though.! scored a goal = good. keeps giving away free kicks in dangerous areas = not mentioned.

"And there was I thinking we were playing in the Championship"

WERE being the operative word! He showed he wasn't good enough to keep us there!

    Clueless .. !!!

Thats strange cos I'm reading everywhere else that we haven't won a league game in 16? does that not more or less coincide with Elliot returning??

Anyway, as I said I think he is competent at this level and will put a foot in for you, he's not the most accomplished 'footballer' but has a good engine and gives 100%, He's also experienced. but his vision and passing is woeful.

Pretty standard league one footballer really.

no one can argue with this, he's also the perfect type of footballer for a derby match, he'd be the first on my team sheet against the blue few alongside carey

Midfield for the gas if Bryan is back fit...

    Wagstaff Marv Pack Bryan

Would have Kelly alongside Marv if he was fit.

It's good to see the only constant in all of these is Kelly.

Marv to me is like Lanny and Bansy said a fantastic engine and will put himself in the line of fire for the team. But his head is the shape of a 50p coin no one and I mean not even him himself has no idea where it's going to go. He looks like Bambie on ice, but I do think this is his level and he WILL help the young uns around him.

Cue the abuse from RP and Shiny :emoticon-0160-movie
