Sorry but it's the same old story with the defence. Has been for 4 seasons now. I am not one for changing manager all the time but I am struggling to see a way out. I wonder if we'll go all season without a clean sheet? I wonder who will be the team to give us a clean sheet? Losing faith fast
we will go down with mciness in charge. he's lucky because a 2 wins out of 20 keeps him his job, and the jan windows coming up means he was a bit of room to buy more players and try build a successful squad. But no doubt he'll just buy the necxt jody morris in the transfer window..
Well we cant afford Pujol However I am sincerely hoping he has discovered a couple of Colliers in some lower league side. Memo to McDel: Take a look at the young defenders playing for Crewe
I know this is none of my business but guys draw heart from our experience so far this season! Under Jewell we were rock bottom with just 7 points after a dozen games and only 1 win. Since we gave him the boot and brought McCarthy in we are now on 23 Points and have a 5 point cushion. Yes I really hope that we can beat you on Saturday and increase that cushion but the point I'm making is that you should be getting rid of McInnes NOW! Why wait?
Don't be silly bud, our board ain't clever enough....We are likely to wait until we are confirmed down!!
Aint gonna happen!........we have Delboy for the long term, our board have confirmed as much in various statements. HOWEVER......... we could see a complete turn around in those statements if we are rock bottom come the end of January. This is Bristol City remember, so god only knows whats being planned!
Our owner is the same! The majority of fans were demanding for Jewell to go ever since the summer and it had to take a truly dismal run of results for Marcus Evans to finally see sense! It is not the Ipswich way to sack managers as we always stick by them no matter how bad things get! He only just managed to keep you up last season so surely they will have to act before the end of January if things don't improve.
Am I right in thinking that you actually spent money to bring Derek McInnes to Bristol City?? I remember you signed him from St. Johnstone (I think?) and there was a mention of a fee being spent for his transfer so I imagine the club wouldn't want that egg on their face of being not only wrong but being downright stupid. I imagine he'll on his last legs with you lot after Saturday... that said you'll probably go and beat us and he'll have a longer stay of execution....
Now I know you are really having a laugh at our expense! His only use is standing in pensioners gardens alongside the other vertically challenged!
In defence of McInnes I understood his reasoning for subbing Bates against Derby and bringing on Cunningham. The 2 Derby goals wouldn't have been out of place on the Downs. But for crying out Christmas it shows McInnes's lack of judgement about central defenders. Bates, McMannus, Fontaine and WTF is Danny Wilson all about. Fed up to the back teeth bumping along the bottom of the Championship. It's one long guts ache.
Definitely sympathise there RP About time it all began to go right. We must be over Hull by now But I put it to you that if we had invested a couple of extra million in our youth program back in 08, we would now be pushing for the moon
Aren't we all. A few years ago I would probably have joined in with the manager bashers but as one gets older I hope I've become a bit wiser. At present I feel the major blame lies with the players and especially those left from previous times. Also I do not have any great wisdom on who would be available to replace DMc but certainly do not see those like Billy Davies, Phil Brown etc etc as suiting us anyway. So I'm going with the current management team for the moment.
