We are the lowest scoring team away from home in the Premier League. This, in my opinion, is something that needs to be addressed. Hopefully when we have HBA back he can give us something extra away from home. We have scored 13 goals away from home in 17 games and we have failed to score in SEVEN away games. That's not good enough for me, but thankfully we have picked up some good results away from home despite this...Arsenal and Everton mainly.

  2. Who the **** cares if we're the lowest scoring team? It's who wins the ****ing games, and we have one of the better records.

Amount doesn't matter aslong as it's more than your opponent in the game.

Weve scored 1 or 2 goals and defended and kept the ball well, that's what matters, not hammering teams 3-0.

We're also one of the TOP scorers at home and have one of the ****test home records in terms of points gained...

Wow! Never realised we were that bad away this season, suppose when we've won against Wigan, arsenal and everton it was only by 1 goal.

Most normal fans will. Although, as I said, we have had some good results, this could be a problem in the future if it isn't addressed!

Nearly everybody cares. Goals win games. Nobody says hammer teams 3-0. But with out ****e scoring record, it means when we go behind away from home it's unlikely we're going to get back in it.

Exactly! If you don't score...you can't win! And you then have to rely on your defense to keep a clean sheet to want to get anything from an away game. I can only think of two away games, in the league, where we have scored more than once...Wigan and Birmingham. This therefore means that we have to keep clean sheets which is difficult away from home.

  8. I'll repeat myself, we're one of the lower scorers away yet have one of the best away records, we're one of the highest scorers at home and yet we have one of the ****test records at home...

Goals win games but you don't need to score alot to win. Yes every now and then i'd love to hammer a team 5-0, but i'd rather win 10 games 1-0 then 5 games 5-0 and lose 5 games or get disappointing draws.

What we really need is consistancy, not more goals. I don't care really about hammering teams, i'd take a scrappy 1-0/2-0 win any day.

We didn't just score 1 in those games and get lucky, we kept out the opposition and played good football, instead of just shutting up shop and relying on luck.

I couldn't give two flying ****s. We have a brilliant away record, it's the result at the end that matters.

Also our away goals difference has cancelled out what would have been a fantastic positive goal difference at home. If we want to improve our league position next season that has to improve. Totally short sighted to say that it doesn't matter!

My point is that we have had seven games away from home where we haven't scored. That's seven out of 17 games where we have no chance of winning and that's what needs to be addressed. Yes are away form is good. But we have won once away from home since January 2nd. That's half a season and it is not good enough. We have a good away record thanks to the start of the season, so therefore we need to get it sorted.

Right but what im saying is essentially, we do have a very good record yes, however as aginairrr said, we rely on clean sheets to get results away from home. I would very happily take scrappy 1/2-0 wins away from home. But if the opposition score when we're on for a 1-0 win(mackems) then it is our low scoring that has cost us. Scoring low amounts is very very risky. If we can get a 2nd when we're 1 ahead, or get 1 back when we're 1 behind we would be much better off. Im not saying score bucket loads. Im just saying if we were better goalscorers away from home we could have a lot more positive results to add to our already good away record.

We've done what was required this season, that's enough for me.

Next season will bring new challenges, but with new players to come in and injured players to return I'm confident we'll surpass what we've achieved this season.

  16. Well it's hardly been easy scoring recently with a **** set of options upfront mate. We have the team, but not the strikers to do it. So i agree we could have scored 1 or 2 more in some away games to win them, but again we'd still be a low scoring team than wins games away. Blackburn and Sunderland away, we should have really scored 1 more than we did and won the games, but we still would be a lower scoring team.

We only need to score enough to win, and we don't just rely on a clean sheet, we normally push on to the end. How many games have man united won these season at home 1 or 2 nil?

Yes we could score more, but defense means alot towards getting results aswell as scoring goals

That's the one I counted...Hence why I said January 2nd and not earlier than that. I was discounting Wigan.

It's our home form we need to sort out. SJP isn't a fortress anymore.

To make the stats seem in my arguments favour I wasn't going as far back as the Wigan game instead going just after it. As I said I'm very happy with our away record, but the lack of scoring needs to be addressed. If we fail to score tomorrow that is 8 out of 18 games where we haven't scored away, which isn't good enough!
