Yes, he's already said so. I was thinking just now, would I want another season of this in the PL under redknapp or another season in the championship with an exciting young manager? Obviously I'd like us to go up and redknapp leave but then there's the risk he could stay and do some real long term damage.
It is time to go with a young manager, Eddie Howe or Karl Robinson for me. We HAVE to start looking long term
It really pains me to call out our own poster's CCJ, but he's to boring as John Wayne was to Westerns. I'm usually a simple and placid soul, most of the time.
Didn't Eddie Howe leave the bigger job at Burnley -to return to Bournemouth where he feels more comfortable. I agree a young manager would at least signal that we are trying to build something - at the moment it feels a bit too much like we are making all the same mistakes again albeit with loans and cheaper players. Interestingly. Howe has a history with both Kevin Bond and harry Redknapp - this from wikipedia... In March 2002, Portsmouth signed Howe for £400,000, making him new manager Harry Redknapp's first signing. In December 2006, at the age of 29, Howe was promoted to the position of player-coach by manager Kevin Bond, and handed the task of coaching Bournemouth's reserve team, though he continued to play in the first team.
Neither for me, I'd look abroad as their managers are better. I'd still prefer both to redknapp but think we can do better.
Have to be careful who we choose if we manage to go up someone managing qpr in the epl with no experience dangerous?
I keep waiting game after game for us to click but it simply isn't happening, so slow in our play, and I believe this is how we are set up. No saying Harry needs to go but he needs to change our style of play.
I was thinking that Harry will only stay IF we are promoted. He yearns for a return to the big time, hence he won't be about if we are not promoted. I wasn't aware he would be going either way ................... anybody's thoughts?
No Redknapp stays until he does what he is paid to do We will get promotion as the team dominates games no one close to that in this division overall His ego will be massive and a team expensive team next year I don't like Harold I don't rate him never have but to start again will be crazy for the club We push and fight now its messy and not QPR style but we must get to the top table QPR fans today are not what we should be about IMO we are numb and infected and LR is not the same place no way No one can see it we are very important to this club at LR
Why should it pain you? - It's a forum based around QPR with opinions - I'm pretty sure one of the only things we would have in common is QPR. You're no idiot so therefore when we cant even agree on something like that you may tend to become frustrated - especially in your IT World position - Get over it, dont be pained, I would not want to cause you or anyone else that level of grief. Now do you want to know why this record grates on you so much? - Because there are probably so many elements there that you dont want to even contemplate being fullfilled. Dumber has contnuously backed the wrong horses and expensively at that. He has delusions of grandeur and only about 5 rungs above a Michael Knightly. It is obvious he's being set up to fail - and my word he's doing that most admirably and most of the time most publically. I know you see him as our Saviour but I see something else, I see uncompromising incompetence and no signs whatsoever that the trend is bucking. Dont be fooled by the succesful Businessman bullcrap - many of us have played at that particular Casino and wona few times and lost a good few more. Dumb, well, he's just what he is, a self centred man who has never shown any desire for this club other than when we beat Southampton at their place so he could get one back. He's a dinosaur, and an expensive one at that. Once again 999s, that I grate on you is just life, carry on your majestic work in peace my good man - Dont even for one second have that vision of Dumb and Dumber taint your day and I promise I wont be on here to taunt you afterwards, we all lose. Croydon - I'm searching for the cellubratory term but it evades so instead please just go and F.... O.....
Hes going if we dont go up, hes already said that. Im hoping he will retire on a high if we go up because I cannot face him managing us in the PL. Wed get more old players and then get relegated again. It would be better long term for us to not go up and change managers in the summer than go up and stumble along to another relegation.
Exactly this. I was dead excited when Harry came in. Given his attacking style at Spurs, I anticipated us going for it in every game. But he's gone ultra cautious in his old age. Setting up not to lose and then having to change it when we go a goal down. Frankly i don't know how we're still 3rd given the way we've played in most games. Unless he radically changes his approach, the play-offs look a distant hope.
