in my opinion if we can't get promoted this season i think the club should really think about a new philosophy. Lets take a look at our main rivals:
big sam/west ham = long ball game
wolly with the brolly = F all
    brummys = sniffing bummies
alan can't believe he's still on the plant Shearer = cardiff (say it all about them)
middlesbrough = they don't even know where their from is it Yorkshire or not
leicester = all that money spent and still no talented footballers

I could keep on going but really if we do not succeed this season then its time from something new like basketball :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Birmingham - Will walk (yo yo club)
West Ham - Will attract the better players ,Parker hant left yet
Leicester - Will get in play offs, will bet anything on that
Cardiff - Will struggle, 10th for them

Leeds as it stands - Will finish 12th, wont score as many goals, will concede a few less tho, we did improve towards then end of the season, were 6/7 players short of a top team

6/7 players short of a top team, sounds like a realistic transfer target!

Boro is actually cleveland now, but they used to be in Yorkshire, old folk still think they are, too set in their ways i suppose.

    as for you predictions.

Big Sam will work wonders at West ham, and they will get promoted.
Mclaren is a really good coach, ok he ****ed up with England but then who has been a success in recent history with that squad?
Shearer Jury is out, he could be another keane and get them out first time, or it could be a huge gamble.
Brum depends who they get in and if they can get some good replacements for the inevitable departures.
Leeds, not a clue tbh, some parts of the season you appear to be unstoppable, others you cant get a point it seems, if you can get some consistency you will be right up there.

The old-timers are right actually, Middlesborough is in North Yorkshire. Part of the ceremonial county but lies outside the shire county, or some shizzle like that.

Cleveland was abolished in 1996 (link). After that, Middlesborough was made a metropolitan area free of any county affiliation, but the only two parished areas of Middlesbrough lie in North Yorkshire, so that's the only county that can fairly claim it.

I used Wiki too but directgov and the UK Parliament link confirmed it was true. Those smoggies can try to get away from us, but we won't let them leave without a fight!
