Although i think we will at 5mil if it does not happen what then who is going to get the 20+ goals do you want the yak back who else fits the same bill as maynard ?
I´d very much like to see the YAK back & tbh can´t really understand why we hav´nt signed him way back. If he´s not wanted by EFC then why not, it´s not as if he came here with an bad attitude. He got on with the fans & scored 11 in 20 & to think we are 'buying our way out of the npower' he would STILL be a top player to have to help us do that. Having said all that, I think SGE will seal the deal on Maynard... I take it Maynard is interested in coming to LCFC ?
Yak apparently made it obvious he was now unsure about dropping down to the Championship on a permanent contract. Just wrote this on another thread; I'd like us to put a bid in for Billy Sharp - scoring rate of a goal every other game over the last two seasons, in a team which finished in mid-table security in 2009/10 and was scrapping against relegation last year.
i for one def do not want the yak back, he has made it blatantly obvious he is not prepared to drop his wage demands, so to me that shows what he is all about. just like some of his perforamances last season. if we cant get maynard, and for me 5mil is def over priced, then we should move on. Bothroyd is a good player and may be tempted for alot less than maynard, only wages i believe, maybe, a young hungry player to go with him as well. i would have liked to get earnshaw to be honest, if only to stop him scoring against us lol
Yakubu is way too hit and miss. He can score 25 goals but if his laziness and ineffectiveness is as rife as it was last season then we can not afford to be playing 50% of games with 10 men. He could score 10 goals in every other match but it won't matter if we lose the other half.
Hearing good things about this Neymar.. lets get him on loan and give him a taste and experiance in english football
