I think this bloke would be a good manager for us.....

    'Warnock has Leeds buzzing'

    By Aidan Fitzmaurice
    Wednesday March 14 2012

THE OWNERS of QPR may have a view about the worth of Neil Warnock, but Ireland defender Darren O'Dea believes that the new Elland Road boss deserves great credit for the work he's done at the club since his appointment.

Leeds have stopped leaking goals -- three clean sheets in four -- and are now promotion play-off candidates again, with much of that down to Warnock.

"He's a great character and has really lifted the place, there's a great buzz around the club and it's very much a club on the up," says O'Dea, who has been an ever-present under Warnock.

"He just loves graft and hard work and when you match that with the ability we have in the team, we have a good mix and in the four games he's been in charge we have been very good.

"We've had a lot of clean sheets in the last while and a lot of that is down to the manager," says O'Dea.

"When you concede goals it's the defence who get the stick and that was happening with us at Leeds, but now we defend very much as a team and the way the manager has us set up, the whole team is much more solid, we don't look like conceding.

"We have enough attacking players in the team to win games so if we can all work hard to keep a clean sheet at our end, we have a great chance of winning the game at the other end."

    - Aidan Fitzmaurice

How ironic would it be if we were relegated, and Leeds went up via the playoffs. It makes me feel ill to even contemplate it!

If Leeds were to go up, do you honestly think that Ken Bates would leave NW in charge?. Leeds have waited years to come back up. In fairness to Bates, he is no fool. Leeds have paid off their debt and are one of very few clubs anywhere actually making a profit. NW had very little Prem experience when he came to us and he has not covered himself in glory with us either. Leeds would be taking a huge gamble leaving NW in charge. Can't see it happening. I know the Goons are mainly responsible for our poor season thus far, but i for one believe we should have paid NW a nice sum last summer and let him go. I am not NW bashing. I love the man, but a Prem manager he is definately NOT.

Agree with Nuts though easy to say with the benefit of hindsight. Don't forget we were sitting pretty for the first third of the season! If it happens, it happens. Still good luck to NW - the man deserves it.

If Leeds went up then I'd be happy for NW - he deserves it and would definitely be worthy of a fully supported season in the Premiership.

We have no right to complain - we dug that grave a while ago and just need to deal with it.

There would have been an uprising by the fans if that happened. Paladini might actually have gotten shot this time.

I know swords, but sometimes in life you have to make the correct decision no matter how difficult. Last June i questioned NWs managerial record and experience on this Forum and got slated. Some people could not see that i was not bashing him, just asking what i felt was a genuine question. The goons destroyed us, we all know that. But sometimes i feel that they are an easy target. NW made some incredible tactical decisions when in charge, our "best" players (SWP & Barton) have consistently underperformed, players have shown awful indiscipline, our defenders can't defend, our keeper can't save shots anymore and our forwards have struggled to score. There are many reasons why we are where we are. I wish NW well, but i cringe a little when i think back to some of his team selections, his interviews and his poor management skills in having a go at some players openly and leaving those most guilty away with it. Others can disagree, thats the beauty of a Forum. Its just my opinion. If Leeds go up it would be too much of a risk with NW who is STILL UNPROVEN at Prem level.
By the way i still have this gut feeling that we will stay up. Just like us to do something the hard way.

If I remember correctly, anyone who questioned anything during the summer got slated and was called either a doom monger or worse still; a traitor.

In more recent times its been Flyer and Old Jim who've come into the firing line and although I think Flyer is baiting sometimes, criticising our players and management shouldn't be made out to be a crime.

I will stand with who ever is manager and last year on occasions i made it plain that i didn't like the football... words was the most consistent about Colin ... he wasn't up to the task but what he did do was to complete his mission with flying colours and is rightfully considered the best championship manager out thre

Any R on this board should be free to question anything and everything. Where I draw the line is when those of us who don't agree with a particular view point are snidely blanket-kicked into a box marked "delusional" based on a TV show. While criticism of management and players shouldn't be (and isn't) a crime, neither is optimism. If baiting is the aim, then I'd suggest there's far more deserving boards than ours.

I met a few Leeds support on Holiday and they all said that the fans didn't like NW, looks more like a propaganda piece to me.

Even if we go down would MH go ? I think it would be a massive dent to his reputation if he did. Join a club send them down leave..hmmm want does that say to employers especially after the way he left fulham.
