Seems to me, NW struggles to keep quiet when interviewed by the press. Should be interesting so, to see what comments, if any he makes over weekend. If he says nothing, it would suggest he has also been gagged due to ongoing takeover / investment talks

I agree with Eire, because if he says nothing it must mean he's staying. You never know we could see a few players leaving as fees were agreed in his absence and a couple of new players in. This would be the best thing, but I'm half expecting a massive bust up between Warnock and Harvey, with Warnock walking.
I for one was right behind the apointment of warnock, but felt it was an odd one given the fact the bates agenda seems to be to bleed the club dry to fund his monaco lifestyle, its becoming transparant now that a lot of empty promises were made to bring in the bloke who for me is still the best man around for this job, the puzzling question then is why oh why did bates go for him ? anyone got any theories ?
http://glorygloryleedsunited.blogspot.co.uk/ A couple more blogs and forums as well as red top papers are predicting that Neil walks away.
I believe we he wants promotion and investment, but does not want to or can not afford to fund it himself.. Warnock was needed to get the investors in, but given Ken Bates long history no one in their right mind would back him. I expect he thought someone would be daft enough to bankroll him to get us promoted, so that he can then ask the same person for more money to buy the club. His plan was likely to be walking away claiming he saved the club etc... No doubt if it does not work he will blame it on the fans, then we will sell more players to fund his lawsuits, lifestyle and the other players wages...
As I am a positive soul deep down, I decided this meant Bates DID want promotion and might even spend a small amount more to get it, and it made me wonder if maybe at least a bit of the "we gave SG a lot of money" spin was a tiny bit true. After all, NW would demand support and maybe walk if he did not get it - and that would be a PR disaster with the fans who KB needs to keep shelling out But I am always overly optimistic. It is impossible to say what the motives were. The perception I have now, however, is: - Bates in a lot of trouble with the fans, who are a) revolting (I think he can endure that) and b) not spending on LUFC any more (I do not think he can endure that) - Bates appoints NW to buy time, because most of us see NW as I said above - i.e. "why would KB appoint NW if not serious about supporting him, we must have got KB wrong" - daft statements about what a good time to appoint a new manager (after the Jan window was over) - maybe Bates hoped NW would somehow give a fresh impetus and sneak us into the playoffs, but that squad was never going to manage that - but essentially the real game was the discussion with 3rd parties about investment, and NW was to buy time, get lucky in the play offs maybe, and show a club with a proven manager, therefore good promotion material for an investor. Plus get more fans to renew, again making it look good to an investor. - maybe the investor discussion has since changed into a sale, if rumouirs of KB being ill are true Thats my speculation, but of course I know zippo, its just what I perceive. Possibly KB is a very straightforward man and just chose what he thought would be a better manager to get us promoted, and genuinely believes he is spending enough to achieve that.
20/20 I too can't get my head around the Grayson issue. It's well known that Bates was brassed off with having loan players sat on the bench when they were supposed to be better than what we had. he told Grayson he had to get promoted, but yet we saw a inept team do nothing and no organised defence. If Bates wasn't willing to back his manager then he should have sacked him, but Grayson should have walked and told the world what he was up against. It didn't take him long after he got the udders job did it. So yes Bates wants promotion because it makes his shares a lot more expensive. But he's won't bankroll it and wants someone else to do it for him, and then he can come out and say, see I promised you promotion ...... All he wants is the kudos and wealth that goes with it, without the risks, he's happy for someone else to take the risk. Thats why the potential deal is dying because bates wants to be majority shareholder and keep control. The new people want rid of him as he's a liabilty and crook and will only take it all or nothing
Short-termism. Transfer targets, Neil Warnock, 2012/13 season are all just short term irrelevancies in comparison to getting shot of Bates and getting in an owner who will develop the club and team in conjunction with the fans. So, thanks for your contribution PF, but it is irrelevant really and just not very good wumming
If Bates sells to an ivestor with ambition we keep Snoddy, he has a year on his contract and he could either play it out or sign a new one when he sees that the new owners mean business. Add to that targets changing from freebies to possible transfer targets and the future with Bates gone would suddenly be rosie.

How am I trying to wind people up. Just pointing out a fact. No doubt if you get some cash and ambition back then alot of people will want to sign for you but until then you not a very attractive prospect to sign for
