God forbid it but, if there was no more LCFC tomorrow who would you support & why ? I´d have to say LIVERPOOL & NOTTS COUNTY. I´ve supported LFC since I was about 7 & seen them play for the 1st time v DCFC at the old baseball ground... years ago & been Anfield many a time plus some away games. As for NCFC, I used to go there many times aswell when there was no other game on. Well I went to alot of Mids grounds back in the day but some how went to NCFC quite alot more. As I remember it it was with about 3 - 4,000 others, THOSE WERE THE DAYS. "UTF"
It'd have to be my local team Sheffield Wednesday for me- I'm a big advocate of supporting the local team.
My late mum's family came from a small Lancashire town, Clayton-Le-Moors, and one of her brothers was a 'Busby Babe' apprentice with a bright future until he tragically contracted cancer at 18 ... so part of the family have supported Man United since then and also Blackburn Rovers which were the local team .. still have family living in Accrington ... I'd find it very diffocult to support another footie team because I got the bug being taken down to Filbo aged 10 with the old man and from hearing the stories from the old timers sitting around us as well as from him .... I couldn't 'buy' into glory ... would be like setttling for very average sex ... not very satisfying ... nothing can replace that feeling of finally winning something after years and years of close things and disappointment ... thank you Martin O'Neil ...
It is true, on many occasions I've said I won't support Leicester again- there's just something in you, as much as it's a cliché, that would prevent this from being the case.
This is a sick proposition.. you might as well ask ....what would you do if you had no knackers...its unthinkable.. if LCFC did not exist, i would probably support a crown green bowling team...
**** Sake, so what! I've lived in Nottingham nearly all my life but I hated Forest before I loved Leicester! I didn't like football when I was a kid and my dad was a avid Forest supporter. I remember him dragging me down to the City Ground in the 1980s and I used to hate it! When I got into football in the early 1990s (Italia '90 was the first time I remember enjoying the game), I still hated Forest so opted to support my Mum's team and the team of my city of birth. I still class Forest as the club I hate the most, although I hate the big money clubs almost as much for ruining a once competitive sport. If there was no Leicester - who knows? Maybe I'd never have got into football. On second thought, one of my best friends around the time I got into football was Notts County fan, so maybe them.
.. can't help where your mum dropped you son ... but that's no reason to support the Tree Huggers .... supporting obese men's synchronized swimming would have been more acceptable ..
As an Ochlophobic, it'd have to be Cov, so I felt safe! In reality, I'd probably pick another team of grinders, like Sheffield Wednesday.
