i would be happy with that table. Leics still winning the league while Villa, Norwich and Palace go down. Still would give us a + 4 points start as Newcastle would still be in the same league as us.
Leicester did the same last season and just carried it on. It does say a lot that table and gives me hope we can push on next season. If we could have a whole season like the 2nd half of this one we would be sat on 54 points. I for one would be very happy with that total.
Blackpool got to about 7/8th I think before their descent like a lead balloon. Generally at New Year, top 4 teams will be in and around the 40-50 point mark I'd imagine so I doubt that's ever happened.

I'd say that will be it, if not it'll be very close. They had about 30 points at the half way mark roughly, then got about another 7-8 points in the rest of the games.
No, they won their first game and were near the top, but apart from very early doors they never got that high up.
Wigan f a cup winners 4 days later relegated, Hull f a cup finalists next season relegated, Aston villa f a cup finalists next season relegated. C palace next ?. Watford and Florres is strange, they had a bad run but he should have stayed. I did not know we had only 12 points from the first half of the season !. We finished 1 goal behind Man u, scored more away goals than a lot of teams including Man c.
I think this just shows how astute Big Sam has been in the transfer market. KKK were all decent buys and if he can add a few more of their quality with the odd marquee signing thrown in, we should be in for a decent 2016-17. I'd think about a bid for Andros Townsend for starters...
Palace to go down is a good shout, they'll probably lose Bolasie this summer. Depends on who they bring in to score goals.

Way back in the '60s or '70s, Carlisle Utd stood second in the league but still got relegated. Wimbledon managed the same in the '90s.
