And we sign Crouch, and sell Gyan. I will be so pissed off it's unreal.

No ****ing way should we sell Gyan unless we sign someone who will score more goals than him.

When SSN reported that we had bid 10 million for Crouch I felt like crying and if Gyan leaves and we go until Jan with Crouch, Ji and Wickham we'll be ****ed.

If Gyan leaves and AFTER he leaves we desperately go looking for a striker and end up paying over the odds for a striker late on in the window AGAIN I will also be pissed off!

Probably a load of bullshit about Gyan, but I swear to God I will go crazy if we pay 10 million for a 30 year old.

Hopefully we'll get a striker (maybe 2 :p), left-winger and a defender to replace Anton if he leaves to QPR (which will not be smart seeing as he's been one of our best players so far)

How much did we pay for Quinn and how would it work out in todays terms? Sometimes a splash on an older player works. Not saying this is the one but just saying anyway....

    It won't happen.

Just too ridiculous to be believed. Insane. Crazy. Unthinkable.

    If it does?

    BRUCE OUT!!!!!!!!!

True but to be honest Quinn used to score before he came to us, Crouch however even at clubs he's played a key part at he hasn't scored frequently (apart from one season at Pompey)

But 10 million could be spent so much better anyway.

I must confess that I feel that Gyan has been somewhat of a let down so far for us, and keep on hoping that he will show his international form in the red and white stripes...Crouch is a player who I have always admired, and in my humble opinion is the nearest thing around to Niall Quinn regarding his strengths. However, 10 million quid for a 31 year old is just too much to pay.
I suppose that what I'm trying to say is that I will just wait and see what happens in the next 24 hours or so before I really know how I feel.

wouldn't mind that! Doubt it though, think Bruce has 2 strikers in his sights (Crouch and Helmes) maybe not even Helmes.

I remember when we signed turner and the press were quoting we were paying £10m when in reality we paid about half that. I think in most cases the press get wind of (or make up) a transfer then pull a price out their arse to run with. If we get crouch I think it will be for less than this figure. I hope.

For all of his height Crouch is scrawny, so won't bring Quinn's physical presence, and half the time he jumps for headers he gives away a foul. (as you can see i don't admire him haha)

ut pav hadnt put in a transfer request then and Pav has very similar stats to Bent s well.

    Pav

381 games 180 goals OK a lot were in russia but its still a top league

    Bent

380 Games 165 Goals but a few of those were in the Championship.

I would much rather have Pav than Crouch thats for sure. (just hope Bruce sees it)
