And appointed Mark Hughes, what would have been the major differences?

He would have inherited the same squad of players..

Would he have done things different in the Jan transfer window?...probably.

Is it all down to MoN motivation, that players want to play for him?

What makes him stand out from some other decent managers?

    ..........................................................................

Personally i think Hughes would have spent in Jan, but that could have gone either way, and we could still be in the battle of the bottom, (as is proven at QPR). But who knows..

So what makes a manager eligible to be included in the top bracket, amongst their peers?....

The undeniable truth is we will never know the answer, its all guesswork and our guesses will always carry bias. For that reason I will pass and simply say I am happy with MON.
